Can I Take 1000 Mg Glucosamine Sulphate With My Methotrexate

I have been diagnosed withrheumatoid arthritis last week and am just starting methotrexate treatment tomorrow

Have you talked to your doctor about it?

The main problem here is that the Glucoasamine is considered an over the counter supplement, so it isn't tested for possible interactions with prescription medications.

Therefore, I really think the best thing you can do is to ask them about it, before you take them together.

Does anyone else have information on using them both?

Make sure your glucoasamine has no sodium in it. By all means ask your doctor. I take Methotrexate once weekly for Psoriasis. I do not take any other med.s or supplements on that day.
