Camber Generic Oxycodone

I thought it was my imagination that something is not right with these pills, but I see that others are experiencing strange issues. What I am experiencing is that they make me feel very relaxed. Almost like having taken a Valium. There is nothing wrong with feeling relaxed, but they are not as effective in pain relief. Having Rheumatoid Arthritis, Osteoarthritis, and Fibromyalgia.......I can really tell the difference. Additionally, the color of the pills are not consistent. Some are yellow, some are yellow and white mixed. I feel like they were mad in a basement some where. I have the ability to fill my prescription at another pharmacy. I got these at Walgreen's, and I will go elsewhere for future prescriptions if they continue to carry this odd generic. I've never had this experience before.

Sorry to hear about your experience with these inferior oxycodone pills. I've also come across similar discussion threads here ripping Camber's reputation apart for putting these on the market.

For patients who are trying to manage severe chronic pain, it's a sad day when pharmacies can't provide anything better than over-the-counter options; yet still requiring a prescription as if it's something special. I'm fed up with the war on drugs as well and even though I don't take oxycodone, it's still infuriating to see our involuntary tax dollars being wasted on things that don't help our society.

I think you're right to go to a different pharmacy if Walgreens can't get their act together. However, you can also see if your doctor will specify on the prescription, a particular manufacturer's brand or generic that you've had success with in the past. This way the pharmacy will have to order it for you instead of grabbing Camber off the shelf by default.

Oh my gosh, I am absolutely in your same situation with camber 10/ 325. Got mine filled on the 23, and instead of actavis which was ok in helping my chronic pain from almost every bone in my body damaged from an accident, they gave me this camber poison. This is not normal. The side effects, the NO pain control, headaches, and that's only the beginning of all the bad side effects of the 10/325 oxycodone Walgreens gave me. All Walgreens are going to this I was told. I called 7 pharmacies because I have filled there for years on the same SCRIPT and I had no luck. Next month, I'm going to have to get my pain doc to specify Mallinckrodt or the brand Percocet. Won't they have to order it if it is specified from a doctor? Can somebody help me on that please? So I will know for sure going into my pain doc. Never will I take these again. It's pure poison. I looked up the ingredients. Little over 8 mg of medicine but I don't believe it's that much and a ton of fillers that do not agree with me. It's not the pain pill that's hurting people. It's the darn fillers.

Ditto. For, me! Never had ANY side effects in 20 years in and off opioids. That was until Walgreens filled the new generic by Camber. Horrible! Why am I treated like a drug addict because I’m prescribed an Opioid?

I think this company, having just got off the small stage, actual drugs made by a different pharmaceutical company & is both made, & based out of a small lil village area in India & I mean not but that stuff coming in in over 500 million doses for US alone I read on their site I believe & I too see that clearly this medication of oxycodone is very badly made, maybe by the anti-drug lobbyists out of DC, it's sad when folks in conditions like myself (in chronic pain) & millions of others, somehow we get put into a judgemental category even after leaving the doctors, to pharmacy & then those close to us. It's just like I know they all love me (& I them), but this whole country has gone to s*** when one cannot even get proper pain relief, making it not only an issue caused by big pharma. A two way dose & then the lies of overdoses & addiction to the masses by news media, no talks of the facts. It's mostly illicit drugs. I'm just over this mentality of everyone who needs medication to live a decent life w/ out pain so bad you stay in bed miserable, that's not humaine. I just got these & I think their terrible. OMG! You have beautifully voiced my feelings with this switch, I never saw coming! I've been a pain patient for 10 years, not happy I even need this, but it gives me a measure of normal life & not wanting to commit suicide from the pain. Yes, this made up war on Opioids is seriously hurting genuine pain patients. Is not our lives just as valuable? I follow all the rules & now I'm trapped by these rules - it's not like the Doctor can just write up a new non generic script. No by law he can't. I looking at a hell month! And the smell- what is that from? I've never been sick or have had any reaction. A huge relief as initially tried everything & this was the last thing that worked & didn't cause a reaction. I don't want to go back to passing out from the pain...people don't realize how bad it can be...hey, I was one of those til my situation happened. Thanks again. I'll be reporting to anyone who'll listen.

I got a call from ascent the company that uses camber in India. They are taking the blue dye out of the pills due to so many people having adverse reaction mainly gastrointestinal problem. She was aware of the Fda sanctioning camber for poor manufacturing and the shredding of documents the night before Fda inspection.

Cambe also has alcohol in the tablet. I don't have a problem with etoh, but alot of ppl. do!

I have been a 50 plus yrs pain management patient, used oxycodone 30 mg for number of years. Recently my prescriptions are being filled by this new “Camber” brand at RiteAid. My condition has gotten worse & my pain level has been back to 7-8 levels. I thought I have developed new problems. After multiple MRIs, ultrasounds and other texts I found out, nothing has changed in my medical conditions. So I had my “Camber” oxycodone 30 mg analyzed by lab. Result was overwhelming. In 9 pills there was only 11-14 mg oxycodone that was found, a bunch of unnecessary additives such as magnesium, yeast and some other unknown ingredients were found as well. I found out the Generic Brand CAMBER IS ONE OF THE WORSE IN MARKET. They are extremely cheap, that’s why some cheaper pharmacies like Walgreens & Rite-Aid carry the brand. This is NOT A PAIN RELIEF MEDICATION. PLEASE BE CAREFUL IN USING THIS BRAND. I am filling complaints with the FDA & CDC, forwarding them the lab results. Most likely this brand will be banned when they get investigated, however it may take 6 months before it’s off the market. PLEASE BE ADVISED PATIENTS ARE ENTITLED TO REFUSE TO ACCEPT THE PARTICULAR BRANDS OF MEDICATIONS. A PHYSICIAN CAN NOT FORCE THE PATIENTS TO PURCHASE IT FROM A CERTAIN PHARMACY. It’s against the law if this is happening to you. Please file a complaint with your health insurance company & medical board of your state. Thx.
