After gathering information on Cardace, I found that may be linked to Ramipril, and could possibly be one in the same pill; for its uses for treating hypertension, congestive heart failure, prevention of myocardial infarction, stroke, and cardiovascular death in patients over age 55.

The following are side effects of Ramipril; as I believe Ramipril is the generic name for Cardace:

A possible swelling of the mouth, tongue, or throat.

A low blood sugar level in patients taking other medicine for diabetes which physically shows as sweating or shakiness.

Furthermore, dry cough may develop, along with dizziness, and light-headedness due to low blood pressure.

Decreased sex drive.

Tiredness and fatigue.

and mouth dryness.

from past two yrs high BP Which always remains systolic 150/130 dystolic 100/96. pulse rate 88/96. so intially treated with amlodipine 5mg one m onth,then atenol one week . nw envas 5mg past three months still the BP IS sme as abv all blood test,ecg all wnl.frm today i am suggested for ramipril 5mg BD. My age 42 wt 69kg HT 174. EXCERCISE DAILY RUNNING 5 Km. suggest me wht should i do.

Taking cardace 5 once in morning, amlogard 5 mg once in the morning. BP 160/100 just reduces to 150/95. Have diabetes and take Amaryl 1 mg in morning n Gluformin XML 500 at night. Sugar level reduces by 20-25 and comes down to 115-20. What modifications do I need to make? I am aged 63.
