After taking Bystolic almost 2 years I developed horrible skin thickening,itching, peeling and cracking on my hands and feet. has anyone else had an episode like this? ## According to a clinical trial posted on nih.gov, "rashes" were among the most frequently reported adverse effects of Bystolic. Is there any preference as to when you take bystolic - morning,evening, or mid day? ## Hi sarah, Based on my research, Bystolic's (Nebivolol) recommended starting dose is 5mg once daily with or without food. There aren't any specific details stating the time of day in which it should be taken. However, I would personally recommend taking it at the same time everyday at whatever time is most convenient for you. I started taking Bystolic 2.5 weeks ago,stared with 5MG and moved to 10 MG off amlodipine-benaz 10/40MG, blood pressure has slowly increased, no is at 160/92. My heart beat was in the 60s now is at 50. Some dizzy spells, a little more loose than usual in the bathroom. I don't believe Bystolic is effective for me. Been taking Bystolic for three weeks, very good BP results; however diarrhea has been a problem. Has anyone else had this issue and will it go away when my body adjusts to the new med. May have major sugery. They want a lower Blood persure. I have heard the surgey can not take place when talking Bystolic and you should where a medical alert in event of an emrgancy so they know how to treat the emergancy. ## The warnings actually state that you should make sure your doctor(s) know that you are on the medication, before you have any type of surgery.
