Brintellix Missed Doses And Side Effects

Hello, I just wanted to put this out there; I missed 2 days of my Brintellix, as I had to wait for the pharmacy to order it, and I have been crying constantly for 2 days now. I got it today, but just wondering if anyone thinks I'm being ridiculous or is it possible?

You aren't crazy, that is entirely possible. Please don't beat yourself up over it. In the future, you may want to talk to them about keeping it in stock for you, or requesting your refill a few days ahead of time, so they can order it in by the time you need it.

The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, weight changes and vision changes.

I stopped 3 days of my brintellix 20 mg, because I was sick with a stomach virus. I have become more aggitated, and depressed. Brintellix works great, I've been on all kinds of anti depressants. 2 years ago my son who was only 24 years
old was killed suddenly, than my doctor put me on brintellix. I am often very sad at times due to my loss. I thought I was more depressed because of the loss. I learned my lesson, to never miss a dose.

My son is 34 yrs. old and was just prescribed trintellix/brintellix and he has been very sleepy. Does this wear off because he works on an on call basis and has to be alert?

Hi. I’ve been on Trintellix for nearly 4 years. I’m 68 years old. YES!! I experience terrible beginnings of withdrawal if I ever miss my medication. Trintellix, Brintellix, has withdrawal symptoms whenever you go off of it. Your pharmacy should have helped you get it from somewhere else for two days. Mine does. Try not to run out before you reorder. It is important not to miss it unless your doctor is helping you come off of it. My doctor will give me sample bottles if my pharmacy ever has to wait for it to arrive. SPEAK UP FOR YOURSELF. You are paying these people to help you. YOU are in control of you. Not them. Be the boss of your body. God be with you as you gain confidence and assertiveness.
