How much should an injection of this stuff cost in a hospital environment? They knocked me out for 5 minutes for a failed cardioversion and charged > $2k for the Brevital! ## Breavital contains Methohexital sodium, it is a short acting anesthetic. As to how much it should cost, that is entirely up to the hospital. There is no hard and fast rule that says any drug should only cost a certain amount. Each hospital has its own formula, that starts with how much they pay for their supply, broken down by dosages.
