Boost Aid To Anxiety

I had a bad reaction to drug prednisone, and as a result my blood pressure has gone from 120/80 to 155/86. Doctor says my high BP is causing me anxiety, and the added anxiety is raising my blood pressure. I am not eating and have lost 8 pounds in 8 days. Will Boost and hi protein bars help releive this anxiety?

Those are just basically nutritional supplements, they may help your overall health, but they won't do anything for anxiety.

What has your doctor suggested?

There are medications that can help with anxiety, as well as some over the counter herbal products, such as ashwagandha.

Making sure you get enough sleep can also help, so Melatonin with B6 may be beneficial.

You do need to make sure it's safe for you to try any of these, before doing so. Your doctor should be able to let you know.

Anxiety is really just a matter of learning what to let go of and how to calm down. It sounds much simpler than it is, I've dealt with it before myself…

But a good counselor may also be able to help you learn to reevaluate things and deal with them better.

Thanks for your reply. Doctor prescribed 0.25mg xanax 3 times a day for anxiety. I am taking Boost to hopefully give me the energy to get back in my daily routine. I haven't eaten much at all in 8 days and think the protein is needed. I take a daily multi vitamin.
