just took Bonine for the first time and i feel nautious. wondering if it is an initial effect of Bonine, or maybe because i drank some coffee not too long ago. plus i am getting on a plane and might be a bit nervous. can anybody else share their experiences with Bonine or Dramamine? ## Bonine contains the active ingredient Meclizine, and Dramamine contains the active ingredient Dimenhydrinate, both are used to help treat, or prevent nausea, vomiting, and vertigo. Ref: Bonine Information Ref: Dramamine Information The FDA lists their typical side effects as possibly including dry mouth, dizziness, drowsiness, and sedation. My best guess is that nausea is due to the coffee, and nerves, rather than the Bonine. Additionally, if you just took it, you wouldn't be feeling the side effects ...

I'm a student pilot, and I had my first flight yesterday. Awhile into the flight after we hit some turbulence and started practicing descents I almost lost it. I was sweating profusely and felt extremely nauseous. So much so that my instructor had to take over the controls and open an air vent for me. Anyways, I mentioned to him that I wanted to take Dramamine before the next flight but he told me that in the eyes of the FAA it is illegal to take any sort of medication while piloting an airplane. That's understandable since your functions may be impaired by certain drugs. But I keep reading that Bonine is non-drowsy, and I remember taking it before going in a boat and did not feel any fatigue. Can anybody else speak about this? Since Bonine is non drowsy, can it be taken prior t...

I'm experiencing dizziness and want to know if it's safe to chew two tablets of bonine for relief? ## You should not exceed the dosing recommended on the packaging, unless your doctor instructs otherwise. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including drowsiness, and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with? Are you on any other medications?

My mom had ear canal imbalance, due to which she cannot hear from one ear. She was operated on so that her other ear could be saved. Thereafter she has had vertigo.... in which she gets very bad dizziness which imbalances her and she can fall down. She cannot look down for the same reason. She has been taking certain tablets (first 8mg then 16 mg)....however there is no improvement at all. I am very disappointed as she is suffering a lot and not getting cured. Please help me. ## Hello, Goldy! How is your mom doing? What medication was she taking? Is it hard to make any suggestions without knowing what she has already tried. Do you happen to have Bonine or Dramamine available there? Both of them are options that may help with these types of issues. The U.S. FDA lists their typical side e...

Blue. Circle. One side has a line to designate two halves, on the other side there is an imprint that says "BONIN". Nothing else. Please help! ## I would also like to know what this pill is? ## Hi Shane, I recently responded to an older post on this site asking about the same pill. Not sure if they found an answer yet, but the closest match here on my end was a 25mg Bonine (meclizine) tablet, used for treating vertigo or motion sickness (nausea, vomiting, etc). This particular pill however, is round and pink, marked with BON | INE (scored down the center) on one side with 201 on the back. Since the description is similar, I thought they might be made by the same manufacturer (Insight Pharmaceuticals/Prestige Brands)... It's hard to know for sure unless you wanted to contact ...

BONN imprint round blue pill plz id this pill ## Hi J, Based on your description, the closest match I'm finding here is a 25mg Bonine (meclizine) tablet, used for treating symptoms of motion sickness (nausea, vomiting, etc). This pill is round and pink, marked with BON | INE on one side and 201 on the other (the line down the center denotes that it's scored). Because the description is somewhat similar, part of me questions whether they could be made by the same manufacturer (Insight Pharmaceuticals/Prestige Brands)... That may be a long shot, but if you want to delve into a deeper investigation, I'd encourage you to contact them directly at prestigebrands.com/contact.html, to see if it's something they make. Hope that helps! Does anyone else recognize this pill?

I want to go on a trip that will include flying. I have suffered with motion sickness all my life but do well with Bonine. What will happen if I take Bonine while on the patch? ## Hello, Mag! How are you? I didn't find any interactions or problems listed between these two medications, but it's always best to double check such information to be certain. The Bonine may cause you to experience more side effects than usual, so you may feel more dizzy and drowsy than you usually do on the Exelon alone. Is there anything else I can help with?

My hubby and I just came back from a 5-day cruise. He started taking Bonine the day we got back. It has not been working. It has been two days. Is there anything else we can try? Would a doctor be able to prescribe something stronger? ## Why did he start it after you got back? If you suffer motion sickness, prevention is usually the best option, so medications like this should be taken before the symptoms occur. Learn more Bonine details here. And yes, depending on his symptoms and the severity, a doctor may be able to prescribe something that will help more.
