just took Bonine for the first time and i feel nautious. wondering if it is an initial effect of Bonine, or maybe because i drank some coffee not too long ago. plus i am getting on a plane and might be a bit nervous. can anybody else share their experiences with Bonine or Dramamine? ## Bonine contains the active ingredient Meclizine, and Dramamine contains the active ingredient Dimenhydrinate, both are used to help treat, or prevent nausea, vomiting, and vertigo. I'm a student pilot, and I had my first flight yesterday. Awhile into the flight after we hit some turbulence and started practicing descents I almost lost it. I was sweating profusely and felt extremely nauseous. So much so that my instructor had to take over the controls and open an air vent for me. Anyways, I mentioned to him that I wanted to take Dramamine before the next flight but he told me that in the eyes of the FAA it is illegal to take any sort of medication while piloting an airplane. That's understandable since your functions may be impaired by certain drugs. But I keep reading that Bonine is non-drowsy, and I remember taking it before going in a boat and did not feel any fatigue. Can anybody else speak about this? If so it is an over the counter product that is used to treat or prevent motion sickness, nausea, and vomiting. It contains 25mgs of Meclizine. The FDA lists its typical side effects as including dry mouth, constipation, and drowsiness.

I'm experiencing dizziness and want to know if it's safe to chew two tablets of bonine for relief? ## You should not exceed the dosing recommended on the packaging, unless your doctor instructs otherwise. My mom had ear canal imbalance, due to which she cannot hear from one ear. She was operated on so that her other ear could be saved. Thereafter she has had vertigo.... in which she gets very bad dizziness which imbalances her and she can fall down. She cannot look down for the same reason. She has been taking certain tablets (first 8mg then 16 mg)....however there is no improvement at all. I am very disappointed as she is suffering a lot and not getting cured. This particular pill however, is round and pink, marked with BON | INE (scored down the center) on one side with 201 on the back. I want to go on a trip that will include flying. I have suffered with motion sickness all my life but do well with Bonine. What will happen if I take Bonine while on the patch? ## Hello, Mag! My hubby and I just came back from a 5-day cruise. He started taking Bonine the day we got back. It has not been working. It has been two days. Is there anything else we can try? Would a doctor be able to prescribe something stronger? ## Why did he start it after you got back?
