My pharmacy switched to a new supplier. My prozac and klonopin have changed and they don't seem to be working. The klonopin is blue with e64 on it. It tastes like sugar. Is it possible that they're giving me sugar pills?

I doubt they are sugar pills highly! But.. if your concerned, always feel free to ask your doctor first! But to try to answer your question all klonopins taste "sweet" or almost "minty". Because some people have to let them dissolve under their tongue for faster release and absorbtion into the body. For instance in a panic attack or oncoming seizures (Imagine if it tasted like an asprin...yuck). Its called taking it "sublingual'. they actually make klonopins that are soft "spongy like" tablets they come in blister packs in a box purposely Made for taking the sublingual way The minute they hit your saliva or get wrt at all they disolve.. and also have a sweet minty like taste.. but like i said.. always feel free and safe to ask and talk to your doctor about this if ypur not comfortable talking to your doc about this, maybe look for one that u are comfortable with.

Your wrong the new blue ones are smaller e64 s not as big same company tho its normal to have sweet taste tho but i normaly take 1 i took 7 and few beers jus try to see if they was real nothing

I know that there's less of the medicine on the generic because they don't work as good as when I took them back in the 80s when they first came out and they actually said Xanax on them. I don't know what to do anymore as I can't take a new one. It's a green color cuz of the fillers but it's like they just ain't the same amount of strength. Can I ask for the brand name since I have insurance so they work better for me. It's an awful feeling not being able to leave your house. Please let me know if you know if I can ask for the brand name.

You are right. They are benzo's and they are also Narcotics,just a diffence class of narcotics. There is different levels of Marx's considered controlled substances.

I agree, yes they are I take them so does my mother for many years, not by choice, I inherited her severe nerve disorder, I am now 46, she is 66 with MS and bed bound, for whatever reason the Dr prescribes them to you it could be called of being in that category. We take them for severe pain and also for severe restlessness in our back and legs. If I did not have them (for night time only to sleep) I would not still be able to work today, and I still struggle with pain and see a pain management specialist. I'm in nursing and I'm always on my feet and legs, and come home with horrible back pain. I take both I f more than Tylenol and Aleve during the day so I can function but at night I need to be able to rest my body. Do your research, some of you sound very low educated and street wise (junkie) about your knowledge. Not kewl, If you're interested in drugs and their category, go to school, become someone who works with them, I sure did...anybody can!

So you all know pretty much any drug you have to have a prescription for is a narcotic, benzo, opiates, even birth control. Pull your head out of your you know what and stop trying to feel high and just take the damn medicine the way it was written.

They are definitely weaker I’m a in home caretaker and the man that I take care of is saying the same thing he’s been on the green tevas for 11 years and the last 2 month they gave him the blue ones and he says they don’t work

I was told that some of the E64 s that are the generic ones or two milligrams and blue is that true or is that a bunch of horse pucky because I understood being a nurse for as many years as I was that all blue ones were 1 mg some of them are generic 2 milligram blue E64 s

It's a sad fact but a lot of pharmacies won't tell you what brand or color pills they carry due to robberies and addicts and pill sellers seeking out top dollar for them on the street. The best way to go about it is to tell them that your body is sensitive to a filler in the blue, green, white... whatever and you'd like to find out what manufacturer they use before you make the trip down to their store.
