Blue And White Capsule Dispensed By Mistake?

I picked up a prescription from CVS took the blue and white capsules for a month. When I got the refill, the capsules were grey and white. I looked up the number and found that those were the minocycline 100 mg that was prescribed. I called CVS to find out why the first ones were blue and white--whether they changed brands, or whether I might have been given a different dosage that was blue and white or a different medication, maybe one with a similar number or in a bin adjacent to the minocycline. They said without the number on the capsules (all gone), there was nothing they could do. Would someone familiar with CVS know how this could happen and what it's likely to have been that I took for a month?

Minocycline is a generic medication, so it is manufactured by several different companies, thus it's likely that what you took the first month was also 100mgs of Minocycline that was just manufactured by a different company, so it looked different than the ones you are currently taking.

It is completely normal for a pharmacy to switch which one they have in stock, depending on who was offering the cheapest price at the time they needed to reorder the medication.

And there are both blue&white and grey&white 100mg Minocycline capsules.

Thanks, but a long-time technician at another CVS in town says she can't remember their ever selling a blue and white minocycline, just the grey and white. So I'm still trying to find out what I was taking.for that first month.
