Gyn prescribed primolut and tranexamic acid to start on day one of my period to increase blood count before myomectomy on the 23rd of October. ## Hello, Susan! How are you? How low was your blood count? These should lessen how much you bleed on your period, if you bleed, at all. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and stomach pain.

In the Southern California area, there is a young woman who was in a car accident, had leg surgery, and needs Lovenox. (Not covered by medical, of course). Is there anyway to get this medication cheaper? {edited for privacy} ## Sanofi does have an assistant program available, if someone qualifies. It's called the Patient Assistance Connection and you can call them for more information at 888-847-4877. Lovenox is classified by the FDA as an anticoagulant. Its typical side effects may possibly include administration site irritation, abdominal pain, chest pain, headache and increased risk of bleeding. Is there anything else I can help with?

injection ## The name of the medication is actually Lovenox, it's an anticoagulant that's most commonly used to prevent DVT or pulmonary embolism. Learn more Lovenox details here. Side effects can include injection site irritation, dizziness and hemorrhage. Are there any questions or comments? ## I find more dizziness with the generic than the real Lovenox is or is this my imagination?

i am 17 yrs old my right ovary exhibits a single well defined cystic lesion 2.2×1.9cm with reticular echoes wihin it favours haemorrhagic cyst my doctor suggested me to take TRAPIC MF is it right to take it ## Hi Ragini, Sorry to hear about your situation. That sounds like it's probably pretty painful. From what I've researched, Tranexamic Acid (Trapic MF) is marketed for its use in treating and preventing 'bleeding problems'. So if your cyst is haemorrhagic (one that is bleeding) then it would make sense to me why your doctor prescribed this medication. You should be able to trust your doctor, that what he/she prescribed is appropriate for the said condition. That's what their job is as a doctor, to suggest and/or provide you with proper treatment after a diagn...

I have 6 boxes left and don't know what to do with them, I know they cost me like crazy but I don't need them anymore. Any suggestions? ## I too have a lot of Lovenox left over and need to find out how to donate it. I won't just send it as that is illegal. But if someone needs it I can send to their physician and let them handle it. ## The FDA actually has a specific set of guidelines on how to "properly" dispose of any unused portions of Rx medication. On their website they mention that some communities have what's called a "drug take-back program", in which you can take your medication(s) to a particular location for proper disposal. If you'd prefer to go that route, they just recommend contacting your local city/county household trash and recycling...

Trapic-E contains Etamsylate and Tranexamic Acid and it is commonly used to control severe bleeding. However, it does carry some risks, such as unwanted blood clotting, which could put you in danger. Thus, I wouldn't advise using it, without consulting your doctor, first. ## I was having severe bleeding for the last few months. My age is 49 yrs. Lost my health insurance and just found out I have another DVT. I take 150 mg injections and I only have 10 left. Pharmacies are charging around $3,000 a month, I don't see how anyone can afford that. I just need enough until December when my insurance kicks in with my new job. What is the best way to get Lovenox for a reasonable price? ## Hello, Carrie! How are you? There is an assistance program through Sanofi for uninsured patients called Sanofi Patient Connection. You can call them for an application and program details at 888-847-4877. I've found most of these programs to respond pretty quickly to keep people from missing doses of their medications. Can a chest port or any other type of port be used to administer lovenox ## Hi terry, If you're preparing for a port placement, an article by Ohio State University Medical Center advises talking with your doctor first when it comes to taking any blood thinning medication such as Lovenox. From there, they go on to state that you might need to change medications or make adjustments to the amount you take prior to the surgery. Ref: patienteducation.osumc.edu/Documents/subcu.pdf After you've informed your doctor of what you're taking, that would probably also be the best time to ask if Lovenox is still compatible after the surgery as well. Information I'm finding suggests that it should be fine to administer in such a way, but it's always best to double check with your d...

I had an ectopic surgery on 6th mar '09 which claimed one of my fallopian tube. Since then I've had irregular menses of 5 days. I used 30 tablets of ovacare between august and sept 2014 and to my surprise it came for 3 days without blood clotting. For how long should I use Ovacare? ## Hello, Teni! How are you? It is going to be normal to have some irregularities, after such a surgery, because it will throw off your natural hormonal balance for awhile. Ovacare is just a nutritional supplement, so while there is no harm in taking it, it's also not going to do anything to help with this issue. Have you consulted your doctor? How long do your menses usually last?

I have been taking Lovenox 40mg through my pregnancy and am now 10 months postpartum. I ran out about 4 days ago, and am out of refills. I called my doctor, have left several messages with no response. The pharmacy has even tried, with no success. I did make an appointment, but it is not for another week. I am nervous. Any suggestions? ## Hello, Stephanie! How are you? Have you heard from your doctor, yet? If not, I would suggest going to your nearest ER or urgent care facility. They should be able to help you.

My mother has cancer that has metastasize and she currently taking Lovenox because of blood clots that were discovered. The physician had prescribed 90mg and we were using the 100mg/ml (and we simply removed 10mg). As you know, Lovenox is very expensive and we are having a difficult time paying for the meds. If anyone has any suggestion to my problem or have any left over injections, please reply to this message. Thank you and God Bless. ## Provide home address so people could send some to you if they are able to. You would have a much better chance this way. Good luck. ## Does anybody still have the Lovenox injections available?

I have been taking Lovenox (generic) injections since mid October when a small blood clot in my lung was discovered on a CT scan. Since that time, I haven't had too many problems with administering the drug except that sometimes when I put the safety on the needle, a tiny stream of the medicine comes out. Usually, it's only a few drops that come out and I was told that this is normal but sometimes it's more than a few drops. I can't seem to get a straight answer about this from the nurses in my hematologist's office. It doesn't have anything to do with my technique because I'm doing everything the same way. I'm very careful about getting the plunger all the way down and I wait a few seconds before I pull it out. Has anyone experienced what I'm talking...
