From what I could gather, Alplax is identified as a foreign brand of generic Alprazolam (2mg).

Apparently these ones are made by a company called Gandor pharma based out of Argentina. However, I have not come across any specific details stating if they are actually legitimate. Usually when it comes to these types of medications from other countries, the other main concern has to do with their potency and whether or not they live up to normal FDA standards.

If you think they may be unsafe, I would suggest going with your intuition on this one since information on them seem to be rather scarce.

Does anyone else here recognize these tablets as being legitimate?

As legit as you can possibly get. Made by Gador, SA, of Argentina, ALPLAX is considered (by your correspondent as well as hundreds of thousands of people worldwide) to be the finest branded alprazolam on sale today.

They come in blisters of ten bars, triscored, marked on the obverse side with 'ALP' and just the score markings on the reverse.
The alprazolam taste is very strong and potency almost unbelievable. Argentina produces many brands and generics, Alplax and the generic by Denver Farma (green oblong rounded tablets with only a score as marking) being best of them. Both are of higher quality than any US made alprazolam for sure. I go for Ksalol 1mg by Galenika of Serbia and Alplax 2mg from many years of experience of alprazolam. The other advantage is that as well as being the highest quality you will ever find, cost is a fraction of what you might pay in the US for poor (excepting Greenstone) alp. Research where you may acquire these brands by mail order and you will not regret it.

Gador make one benzodiazepine, Alplax alprazolam 250mcg, 500mcg, 1mg and 2mg. The 2mg 'bar' and blister are precisely as described and they are without doubt one of the highest quality brands in the world. There is no question of them being unsafe! They are well known and one of the most sought after brands of all. Gador (not 'Gandor') also make two 'z' drugs, SOMIT zolpidem 5 and 10mg and TRANQUILIUM zopiclone 3.75 and 7.5mg, and their Somit brand is considered to be the best available brand of zolpidem tartrate on the market. They are Argentinian and superior to any US made alprazolam except branded XANAX and, as the previous poster mentioned, Greenstone. Nobody here in Europe would trust US alprazolam but Argentina produces several brands which are widely found, including the ones mentioned and Bago TRANQUINAL, another excellent brand, and generics by Fabop and S.Chobet. The best source country for the highest quality alprazolam, of which Alplax is the best. I thought they were amongst the most famous brands on the planet, and have difficulty understanding how an alprazolam user has never heard of them!

May I also say to David that US FDA regulations are NOT as stringent as European Union regs, and there fore I must conclude that in fact EU medications are generally of higher quality than those found in the USA.
The fact that of hundreds of brands and generics of alprazolam available in the US, only two, XANAX and Greenstone's generic are actually worth using - the most dispensed, Sandoz GG248/249 being of DERADFUL quality - should tell you that; also the fact that the U.S. permits a plus or minus percentage of API per tablet whilst the EU insists on generics containing PRECISELYbthe amount claimed on the box. No, US medicines are not the best at all. TEVA US oxymorphone? A joke compared with Endo or Mallinckrodt!
