I have ovarian cysts.. And some reason my hair falls off like crazy ... Been taking biotin but it's not working ... So I wanted to take Methyl-sulfonyl-methane... Yet don't know if that's gonna effect my cysts in a bad way ## Hello, Elsa! How are you? Sorry about the hair loss. If you have cysts, then the hair loss is probably being caused by a hormonal imbalance and, if that is the case, then these types of supplements aren't going to rectify the problem. In many cases of cysts, your estrogen is high, while your progesterone is low and the situation needs to be corrected. Have you consulted your doctor about it?

I was prescribed Sinvastatin a year ago (40mg) and now I have alopeca, never had this til I took these pills. I notice that this is a side effect. Will my hair grow back, it is so embarrassing to try to keep the bald patch covered. I have now been taken off this medication. ## HI, Chris! If it was really caused by the medication, then yes there is a good chance that your hair will grow back, now that you've discontinued it. If your doctor says it's safe for you to take them, some supplements that may help include B vitamins and biotin. However, if it was due to natural genetics or aging, then nothing is going to change it. Has your doctor given an opinion?

Elderly person needs vitamin with following ingredients: Vit. D 400mg, Folic acid 400 mcg., Biotin 300 mcg., Vit. B-12 1,000 mcg., Vit. B-6 100 mg., Selenium 100 mcg., Calcium + D 1,200 mg., Iron 250 mcg., and Vit. C 3,000 mg. Is there any one tablet that comes close to providing these nutrients in these proportions? ## Since most vitamins are over the counter products, there isn't a database that lists all of them and their ingredients. What I'd like to suggest is asking a pharmacist. They usually have a good idea of what's available and can point you in the right direction. Did a doctor say it must be these specific dosages?

I use to take kreaglo for few months. But now since they have stopped stopped manufacturing the old kreaglo and kreaglo eva is too expensive I'm looking for some alternative to it. Something which has same constituents and is affordable. ## This is just a nutritional supplement that contains a mix of nutrients that they claim will help with hair growth, but that isn't actually proven. And I'm sorry, but I haven't been able to find a listing of what's in the Keraglo Eva that is different from the original. However, what I can tell you is that the only one of the ingredients in the original that has actually been shown to help with some cases of hair loss is the nutrient Biotin. Thus, you'll want to look for another supplement that contains Biotin, or just try it b...

I'm already losing hair as I grow older (am going on 76). Does anyone know of a hypothyroid medication that does NOT cause more hair loss? ## The hair loss can also be related to your levels not being optimal and many people have found it to slow, or stop if they were maintained at the optimum levels. Improvements have also been shown by using T4/T3 drug combinations, rather than just synthetic T4 alone. Has your doctor provided any assistance regarding the issue? Some people have had success using Biotin supplements to improve hair loss, but you should check with your doctor, before adding anything new.

Awesome share it is without doubt. My girlfriend has been looking for this info. ## I am not sure what post you were responding to, in the future to respond to a post, you should use the box directly underneath it that says: Post a reply to this topic. Otherwise, the posters don't get a notification that you posted a reply. And on the hairloss issues, since I don't know what was in the post you are referring to, another thing that people may want to look into is Biotin. A deficiency in it can cause some hairloss and supplementing it has been shown to help arrest it and to encourage hair regrowth. Are there any questions or comments?

I have been recommended this capsule for my hair loss ailment. Is this safe ? is this effective ?? ## I can't find any specific information on this, other than that it is listed as a multivitamin supplement, not an actual medication. Therefore, there should be no harm in taking it, unless your doctor advises you not to do so. Sometimes a lack in some vital nutrients, such as Biotin can contribute to hair loss.
