How are you? Some of these supplements can cause nausea and diarrhea, due to their potency, as reported by the U.S. FDA. However, whether or not it helps your hair loss depends on whether or not it has been caused by a deficiency in one of the vital nutrients that it contains. Did you mean 1,000 micrograms? Biotin isn't dosed in milligrams. Those instructions mean that you can take anywhere from one to 5 per day. This is classified by the FDA as a nutritional supplement, but since a deficiency in it is so rare, there actually isn't an RDA for it, but most supplements recommend 5,000mcgs per day. This is the list of ingredients that I found listed as the product Dbx-13, The websites dont give the TradeName® as that would let people skip buying into HSI's newsletter which is probably their main source of income. That info IS Free if you sign-up and they say they will give a discount over the somewhat "High" price quoted by the supplier which is about $60. for a 30 day supply. That doesnt sound like a very high price to pay if you can reduce your Daily Insulin inj. amount, as my cost for that is about $250 per month. I am 17 year old and I have many gray hairs please tell me how to.stop the spread of gray hairs ## @Niranjan, I do think gray hair is a bit unusual at that age, but if you consider yourself to be an otherwise healthy individual, I'd be curious to find out whether its presence could simply be a naturally occurring genetic trait? One thing I would encourage you to do though is to have blood work done in order to check for any important nutrient deficiencies (specifically B vitamins). According to an article I found online, if you don't obtain enough vitamin B5 and B6 through your diet, your hair can actually lose its natural color. Why do you say that you are allergic? Because you break out? People usually break out with that Kind of product because they start taking doses that are too high. The same thing happened to me. Breaking out is like your body saying "ahhh, too much!". So what I have done is take much less than the indicated dose. Don't buy giant loaded pills. I have found that Biotin Forte is a good vitamin if you want your hair to grow and repair. They use this Biotin Forte on Cancer patients, after surgeries and so on.
