Benzodiazepines Coming Up Negative On Lab Work

I take a plethora of meds for my unhealthy self. Two of these are Physeptone (Methadone mix) 90mg for chronic pain, along with Clonazepam, Roche, Audin, etc.. I am in England so we don't care who makes our meds as they are all free (and anyway we can ask the chemist for another manufacturer). I have to submit urine samples now and again as the government has decided Methadone (even for pain) must be prescribed and monitored by Addiction clinics. This causes me massive problems, especially with other authorities, like my medical 3 yearly driving licence.

Well, in the last 4 months, my lab results have been crazy. They should be positive for Methadone and Benzodiazepines (as I take 8mg Clonazepam for epilepsy). The problem is that the Methadone is positive but the Clonazepam has been negative every time. Even when I video myself providing a sample before driving to the lab, it's still coming up negative. I have been on these for 33yrs and Physeptone for 30yrs.

Before Pain management in 2013 I was on 230mgs/day Methadone. Going on holiday was a nightmare as I would have 30 x 500mil bottles of Methadone. A whole suitcase.

I had a similar issue with Seroquel once. On the screening, 80s "would pick up a metabolite of the seroquel that was consistent with and enzyme often found with methadone"... as i can remember it.

My boss at work had a policy that a test could be contested. You can get calibration solution for a double blind - don't know if this is legal in UK. In the US attempting to defraud lab results is illegal!

Thank you so very much for your answer. This is going to really help me as it sounds a very logical reason. The Addiction Clinic don't like me and never have since being forced to go there by my GPs and every other Dr in Somerset. I would tell them about the Doles Nyswander Methadone program I was on in Stockholm and how well they treated people. I went there because the Pain clinic in Stockholm wanted to show me that being addicted to Methadone was not a problem.....they have a 98% pass rate because they know what they are doing. If this problem I have had happened there they would have done everything to resolve it. Not punish me,and accusing me of using White Chinese heroin from Sweden and then getting rid of it with the Nalaxone injection packets they give people. So many thanks to you. Have a great day.
