My digestive tract is very nervous followed with nausea. Sometimes it becomes a ball nerves. Are the side effects causing this and should I stop. ## Hello, Vicky! How are you? Those can be side effects of this medication, however, you shouldn't stop taking it without your doctor's approval. Most side effects are transient and will usually go away with time, once your body gets used to a medication. The FDA lists other typical side effects as possibly including dizziness, headache, sedation and thirst. Is there anything else I can help with?

I got prescribed it like 7 years ago for my acne and every time I took it I would puke so I stopped taking it for like 2 years. Plus it barely did s*** for my acne. And now I got it prescribed again for my withdrawal from heroin and now I'm on Bella gas and need to figure out if it would show up for something in an 8 panel drug test so I don't go to jail lol.

I had my colon removed and now have a J-pouch. My stool is almost always runny and I take bulk laxative along with bentyl and imodium. During the day there is no problem but nights I set my alarm clock every 2 hours so I don' mess myself or the bed. Would the Tenture of opium help at night and is it addictive? I am a diabetic on an insulin pump. ## What has your doctor advised? Hi I have IBS and was prescribed bentyl which iv been on before. My question is to know how long it remains in your system. The reason I ask is I am still parochially breastfeeding. I know I can not take it while I breast freed but is there a window before each pill that I could breastfeed. What herbal or over the counter meds show up in a urinalysis as benzos? Please help!!! ## There are quite a few that can cause false positives, far too many to list them all for you. Can you post back with a list of products/medications you were taking? If so, I will gladly check for you. ## I am allowed 300 mg. of Trazadone daily, but recently took 3 mg. of Vailum, about 3 days before urine test. Will it come out positive, or can it been seen as a false positive from the Trazadone? ## My son has taken a prescribed muscle relaxer and pain reliever for back pain and also takes Bentyl for his Acne and also takes Garcinia Cambugia for weight loss and his urine showed up positive for Benzoids. Can I take Bentyl that expired 8/10, 9 months ago? ## As with anything, whether it be drugs, food or drink, you should not take them if they are out of date. The date is on the packet for your safety, and you could experience more adverse effects from taking out of date medication. Also some medications can begin to loose their effectiveness passed the expiration date, so it would be best in your case to just request a new prescription given the length of time that it has been out of date. However, if you'd really like to be certain about the pills degradation, you would have to take them to a lab and have them evaluated for quality assurance. I did speak with a doctor in the er see I'm traveling and a long way from home. He said it should not do that otherwise pretty vague about the whole situation. Is this normal? I am having side effects from radiation and the ER doctor prescribed bentyl but now I have diarrhea. Is this normal? It's not listed as a common side effect. ## Same thing happened to me. ## Even though diarrhea is not listed as a side effect of Bentyl (Dicyclomine), it becomes obvious to me that this medication is the cause of it. Had you not taken Bentyl at all, it most-likely would've never occurred in the first place, unless you ate something that triggered these constant bowel movements.
