bentyl and side effects

My digestive tract is very nervous followed with nausea. Sometimes it becomes a ball nerves. Are the side effects causing this and should I stop. ## Hello, Vicky! How are you? Those can be side effects of this medication, however, you shouldn't stop taking it without your doctor's approval. Most side effects are transient and will usually go away with time, once your body gets used to a medication. The FDA lists other typical side effects as possibly including dizziness, headache, sedation and thirst. Is there anything else I can help with?

Is Bentyl Addictive

I had taken some bentyl for stomach ache and i am trying to get a job that requires a drug test will bentyl make me fail the drug test and how long does it stay in your system if it does? ## Dicyclomine (Bentyl) is on the list for possibly showing a false positive for LSD. Make sure to notify the lab of any medications and over the counter medicines you are taking. This will help in identifying any false positive test results, and you shouldn't have any problems. People who have never used drugs have tested positive for drugs because of inaccurate testing or from false positives. As far as this drug being addictive; I found that this medication may rarely cause abnormal drug-seeking behavior (addiction). Take this medication exactly as prescribed to lessen the risk of addiction. ## ...

Tinture Of Opium

I had my colon removed and now have a J-pouch. My stool is almost always runny and I take bulk laxative along with bentyl and imodium. I am a diabetic on an insulin pump. ## What has your doctor advised? Opium tinctures can be addictive and cause serious side effects, so they should never be used without your doctor's approval. ## I was in the same situation as you, and have a J-pouch as well. I took Tincture of Opium for about 7 years. It does help at night time, slightly. There will still be issues, but it's main benefit I experienced was the fact that I would actually sleep, rather than constantly ...

expired bentyl

can i take bentyl that expired 8/10, 9 months ago? ## As with anything, whether it be drugs, food or drink, you should not take them if they are out of date. The date is on the packet for your safety, and you could experience more adverse effects from taking out of date medication. Also some medications can begin to loose their effectiveness passed the expiration date, so it would be best in your case to just request a new prescription given the length of time that it has been out of date. However, if you'd really like to be certain about the pills degradation, you would have to take them to a lab and have them tested for quality. I don't know how to go about that procedure, but I am sure it will be cheaper and less stressful to just get a refill. ## Check with your pharmacist a...

Bentyl is giving me diarrhea and I've taken only one pill

Is this normal? I am having side effects from radiation and the ER doctor prescribed bentyl but now I have diarrhea. Is this normal? It's not listed as a common side effect. ## Same thing happened to me. ## Even though diarrhea is not listed as a side effect of Bentyl (Dicyclomine), it becomes obvious to me that this medication is the cause of it. Had you not taken Bentyl at all, it most-likely would've never occurred in the first place, unless you ate something that triggered these constant bowel movements. The side effect list of Bentyl seems to list every gastrointestinal side effect under the sun, except diarrhea (including constipation, stomach pain, vomiting, loss of appetite and gas or bloating): ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0000810/#a684007-sideEffects Have you discu...
