I attend a methadone clinic in the state of pa. I've been on methadone at the same clinic for over 2 & 1/2 yrs. I've been clean since joining in may of 2011. Last Monday I had my first false/positive drug screen which came up benzos. My counsler said it's from the benadryl most likely not the Advil cold n sinus I took the night before my drug screen . Muy supervisor at the clinic was told the original lab that fulfills our drug screens at the clinic told her it wouldn't be from the benadryl. They took away my take homes while it is being sent out to be tested again. Will further testing break it down more to show that I have only took my methadone vitamins benadryl and Advil cold & sinus. What kind of pill is blue and capsule shaped imprinted with EC? It's a pill just shaped like a short capsule. ## I found a small light blue pill with ec on one side ## The light blue capsule-shaped pill in description is reportedly identified as Diphenhydramine 25mg, marketed as a sleep aid. Do they use these drugs as a GI cocktail to treat acid refluk? ## I have used a GI cocktail with belladona and donnatol for years. It had cost me about $28 a bottle, after ins. paid their portion. Now they said they can't get generic donnatol and the substitute is expensive so they are charging $130 a bottle at Walgreens. I told them to keep it. that's an outrage. Can benedryl, Tylenol and acetaminophen be taken in a 24 hour period? ## Can you mix alka seltzer plus night and benadryl? ## Tylenol contains the active ingredient Acetaminophen, so you do have to be careful with it. You should not take more than 1,000mgs of it in any 8 hour period, and you should not exceed 3.000mgs in 24 hours, due the risk of overdose toxicity, according to FDA reports. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, and headache. Samantha, they have several nighttime formulations. I’ve been throwing up and horribly sick for the past week and finally went to the ER. The doctor told me to take Benadryl, but then she gave me other medicines and I wanna make sure I can still take the Benadryl with them without anything happening. ## Hi Nikki, sorry to hear about how sick you've been feeling! As far as Benadryl and Bactrim go, I did not see any interactions when I checked with medline plus. As long as your doctor is aware that you would be taking both at the same time (i.e. they prescribed those drugs to you themselves), then they probably deemed the combination to be safe. In your message you also said "but then she gave me other medicines" - can I ask what other medicines your doctor gave you? Or were you just talking about Bactrim?

Hi. I was wondering if anyone out there has been able to get Benadryl (or the other anti-itch med...Atarax?) in an IV form for use at home? I get crazy itchy if I don't take Benadryl or Atarax with oxycodone or Phenergan! So I have a difficult time digesting pills of any kind and I'm trying to research & figure out if anyone out there has gotten the IV form of this drug covered by insurance, or even if this drug in IV form exists for in-home use? I am taking methadone and oxycodone for pain management. I get them from the VA. I was injured in Iraq. The VA Clinic told me that my last urinalysis came back negative for oxycodone. I take my methadone and oxycodone as prescribed and cannot think why it would come back negative. The only thing I can think of is that I take Benadryl sometimes at night to help me sleep. Is there anyway that the Benadryl can cause a false negative? The VA has taken the oxycodone away because they say I'm abusing my prescription. Hi, I'm really upset today because I'm in drug rehab (voluntarily) and was told today that I tested positive last week for opiates and benzodiapines. I am positive that I haven't taken any of these! I have been really working hard in rehab and am devastated by this'! I had one relapse and admitted it, even though it never came up on a test. The only medications that I have been taking any differently are some nighttime cold medicine for cough and a generic like Walgreens version if Benadryl during the day for allergies. Also I'm on prescriptions; Wellbutrin, Buspar, Resperidone and Trazadone, but I've been on them for awhile and haven't come up positive. Found this small capsule in my brothers room. I don't want to give it back to him unless I know exactly what is it and what it contains. Its in the shape of a molly capsule but pink and it has a P 191 label on it. His friends are into raving and I know some like to take interest in drugs when going to events like this. I found a round dark pink pill with b on one side and blank on the other. Seems to be coated. ## I have seen a number of round pink pills with a lowercase "b" on one side, but the other side to these pills also bear 3 digit numerals. On the other hand if it's a capital "B" on one side and blank on the back, then this is reportedly identified as a Children's Benadryl (fast melt); containing 19mgs of diphenhydramine citrate. This medication is an antihistamine used for treating symptoms of an allergic reaction. For further verification, the pill itself is a product of Pfizer. I hope this helps!
