Banocide Forte 100 Mg

I am 45yrs old. Have been prescribed banocide forte 100 mg tab. 3 times a day & 21 days for the seasonal allergy (sneezing, nose block, eye itching, etc) in Kuwait. Will it have any side effect.

This medication contains the active ingredient Diethylcarbamazine, which is not used to treat allergies, it is used to treat parasitic infections, some of which may affect the lungs.

Are you sure they told you to take it for allergies?

All medications carry the risk of causing side effects. The NIH lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach pain, and weakness.

So I've been having an allergy reaction which as caused itchiness and bumps all over my body especially my legs and hands and I've been prescribed to have 3 per day for 3 weeks by my dermatologist... so can anyone tell if it would work to bring down the allergy ???
