Bgo Ointment (Page 2)

BGO ointment last distributed by Calotabs Co. in Greenville, SC. Company has apparently closed...not further info. Ointment is an antiseptic, antifungal cream for relief of th athlete's foot, ringworm, hemorrhoids, externally caused blemishes, cracked lips, minor cuts, burn and bruises, corns, itching from burning skin due to sunburn and non venomous insect bites. Contains salicylic acid, sulphur, zinc oxide, phenol calamine, menthol, petrolatum lanolin and mineral oil. Have used this product for over 50 years and it works great. Would be so happy to find a new distributor if one exists.

I have a small jar of BGO that I have protected for 40+ years. It’s great for all uses, but I would love to have some for my nieces and nephews... it does a great job on acne! Please let me know if anyone has replicated it!

Please post on information where this can be bought when it is developed.....I too have been looking for this for years...I normally just use Calamine lotion when the need is there.....

Did you ever find out the precentages? Are you able to produce any BGO (or whatever name you will call it) in your compound pharmacy?

I have been purchasing BGO Ointment (a compounded version) from Corner Drugs, Chatsworth, GA 706-695-0444 for the past year. I had to obtain a prescription, but my doctor was glad to do so when I explained the situation. As I understand it, all the items are available over the counter, but if you compound them, you have to have a script. The pharmacist (Jim Richards) is great to work with and can compound in various sizes. Give them a call and tell him that Terrye sent you... they were an answer to my prayers!

Hi Lynn, I read where you fused it inside the mouth well I have titanium in my mouth that has failed and is giving me terrible terrible issues I'm going to have surgery on February 18th 2020 I don't know how old this comments from but if you could if you can or aloud can you tell me how you used it inside your mouth it might be able to help these teeth and the pain that is causing me from the titanium that's broken messed up me so bad. Please make this ointment. So many people looking for something to replace BGO. I’m 64 years old & my husband’s step father was a pharmaceutical salesman years ago. My husband had acne as a teenager which was constantly irritated by perspiration from playing sports. He says he could put BGO on acne before bed & the zits would be dried up by morning. My chin has starting breaking out from other medical problems and I would try anything to get rid of them. Any suggestions? Any encouragement about BGO type Creme or ointment?

I am interested. My grandmother had this. I have a little left. It is like gold to me. Love that the tint is a flesh color of your face. Been looking for someone to make this BGO. WORKS WONDERS!

I loved bgo for putting on an ingrown toe nail. I have a problem with ingrown toe nails for years and it would allow me to get the toe nail out. Please if it is being made and released I would sure love to know how to get this product.
