33 year old male. Total T was not low low but 333 and I'm very active, keep in shape, have had ED at times, but think that's from my adderall. Long story short, I see all these posts on different sites about guys taking axiron and the first day or 2 they feel "healed." How is that possible? I understand the peak of test for a couple hrs but u gotta crash no? My doc who is a GP doesn't know crap about TRT I am on my 18th day and he said it won't start working or I won't feel effects of more energy, libido etc for 4-5 months. The first week I was fine the next week, I couldn't get out of bed,no appetite, chills,so tired but couldn't sleep at all!!and mood swings like you wouldn't believe.I thought of stopping it bit first called Dr n he said no way i...

I noticed an immediate improvement in overall feelings of lethargy after starting on Axiron. My overall energy was restored and feelings of tiredness that I'd experienced for years were finally over. The only negative side effects are the increase of body hair. Noticeable increase in underarm hair growth, pubic hair growth and chest hair distribution. My stomach was smooth prior to Axiron, now it's hairy. Also, my whiskers/beard are more coarse since being on Axiron. ## Hello, Scott! How are you? I'm glad that it's working so well for you. Other side effects that you may experience, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include skin irritation, redness, rash, irritability and headache. Are there any questions or comments?

I'm 43 year old Australian with borderline low testosterone levels who's been suffering from 'feeling like an old man' for the past 2 years. I've just started using Axiron in the last week (2 pumps a day) and already I feel a lift in energy levels and libido. The only downside is the occasional hot flush and difficulty getting to sleep. I'm sure that those minor issues will pass over time. I also take 125 mcg Thyroxine each day for hypothyroidism (Hashimoto's Disease). I look forward to more benefits from Axiron in the future. I should also add that a 110ml container of Axiron costs around $40 (yes, forty) Australian dollars (approx. US$35), compared to US$400 per container in the US. Thank goodness for taxpayer subsidised medicine in Australia (Pharmaceutical B

Started testosterone injections for low t about 2 1/2 years ago. Could not manage levels on injections so doctor prescribed Axiron. Been on two pumps daily for the past 2 years. Only positive things to say. Lost belly fat I had gained, energy level as well as libido are much higher, more fullness while flaccid as well as much stronger erections. Only negative side effect is body hair growth. Buy some clippers when you get your prescription. ## I have had the same exact results after stopping injections. Lost belly fat, libido is much higher, gained 1" in flaccid state and like you said- buy some clippers.

Please stop showing your commercials during the day. I saw it at 6:45pm. Hearing about testosterone is not appropriate while I'm with my kids doing homework! Please restrict your airing times to after midnight. FYI I see the commercial everyday while watching CH. 4 NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams at 6:30 PST. Thank you for your attention to this matter ## I am a man and I don't need to see tampon commercials, but that's just life. It's not like testosterone commercials are waving erect genitalia' around or anything. Testosterone is simply a hormone that has many many functions in the body. ## And this website does not manufacture and advertise any medications on TV. I'm sorry that you're upset, but this site is not responsible in any way. This site only ...

Is it safe to use axiron and androderm simultaneously? I was on axiron for a year and my Urologist prescribed androderm. I read that axiron delivers 30 mgs of test versus 5 mg that androderm delivers. Will this drop in dosage cause unwanted side effects? ## Hello, Ed! How are you? Which dosage of the Androderm was prescribed? There is more than one available and how often do you change the patch via the prescribing instructions? A dosage change may result in your feeling more tired and having a lower libido for a few days, until your body adjusts. ## I was prescribed the 2 mg patches but they come off too easily especially when I sweat. My Urologist told me to go back to Axiron and one pump per armpit. Testosterone is the best. Test is best ...after a year on it I feel great. My concern...

44yr. old man with t levels in the 300 range;doc put me on axiron,2 pumps daily;noticed awesome results; had levels checked a couple days ago and only up to 420;now on 3 pumps daily for next 30 days.Hopeing major increase;wife is already happy, but pushing to get my levels in or even abive normal range;if no improvement,I will be going to see a endo doctor.for net ## Hello, Bolo! How are you doing? There can also be problems with the level being too high, so it would be best to try to keep it within normal range. When will it be checked, again? ## Hey Version;"I go bk to get tested in two more weeks",I will have and post actual numbers soon. ## I meant,"Hey Version";this smart phone has a mind of its own LOK:-D ## Verwon.

I've been taking Axiron 2 pumps per day for 4 months now and the results have been nothing short of amazing. Much more energy and the libido of a 25 year old. Doc ordered a blood test and said T-level is "off the chart" and cut the dosage 50% last week. Now I angry all the time as well as sad, depresses and frustrated. This sucks! Anyone out there had a similar experience? ## The same thing happened to me. My first level was 238 and I'm only 36. I used two pumps of axiron every day for a month. My T level went up to 719 and I felt great. The PA told me to go down to one pump a day and 2 pumps if I felt that I needed it. Levels went down to 358 then 77. I was sent to a Urologist. He said that my body was still producing some testosterone at first and that it will eventual...

I was prescribed Axiron and really need the medication, but I don't have prescription insurance and I can't afford it. Stopped using it for a while because of the cost, but really started feeling terrible again. Got one of the co-pay cards from Axiron but still costs way too much. Any ideas for help ## Hello, Jack! How are you? Did you also use the free 30 day trial certificate that they have on their website? Learn more Axiron details here. Otherwise, I can't find any other discount or assistance programs for it aside from the co-pay card you already mentioned. Did you discuss the issue with your doctor? They may be able to prescribe a cheaper alternative. ## how can a poor person afford 400.00 for a bottle of axiron........... there needs to be some reform for these meds. ...

I know Axiron works. its amazing. But still. The price? I could understand the price if it was the meds that were gonna keep my heart beating, and save my life. But a side effect is increased rish of stroke? Insurance doesnt want to pay for it, yet the price is so atronomical! Help me understand why. If it was half the price, I am sure double the users would be lining up! ## Well, if you really want to know, it's because of the millions of dollars that the manufacturer had to spend on research, development and testing to get it approved and bring it to market… once that happens, they have to spend even more to make people aware of its existence. And they only have a limited period of time in which to recoup their investment, so the price is always relatively high for name bran...

I have been on 2 pumps of axiron for a month. Energy and libido were much improved. After about a month I started getting nausea so I stopped it on the recommendation of the DR for 2 weeks. Everything settled down. I was not nauseous, but my energy and libido also went away. I re-started it and am nauseous again. If the nausea got better over time I am willing to work through it. ## Hello, Ted! How are you? Yes, it should get better after a month or so, once your body gets used to it, but if you change the dose at any time, you should be prepared for it to recur. Did your doctor suggest anything you can take to help with the nausea?

To all of you using Axiron, pleqae be careful! My husband used it for two years, 60 mg a day. He is in his early 40's and suffered a stroke a few months ago. If you start to feel a pain or numbness in one of your arms or hand, pleaae stop. His T level was a little under 300. Please be careful taking this! ## Hello, CC! How are you? How is your husband doing? I am so sorry about what happened. Yes, these testosterone supplements have been tied to an increased risk of stroke and cardiac events. Thank you for posting this warning for others.

I have used Axiron for 3 months. Last Feb, Mar and April. Then my insurance would no longer cover this very expensive medication. BUT it has worked better than any other testosterone replacement I've tried. I've tried Testim, Androgel, Androderm and injections. Axiron worked very well for me. T levels went from 195 to over 800. Much more energy and confidence. I also had to use Axiron first, then apply my Mitchum. I got skin tags but so what. Here is the bad part. After insurance dropping it, my levels plunged. I actually started getting hot flashes b/c my doc said my system stopped making testosterone all together since using Axiron. I went back to Androderm and the hot flashes stopped. I got a free 30 day supply of Axiron and after 25 days, my libido was thru the roof. Erectio...

After receiving a shot at my Dr.s office a day earlier in the week I picked up my Axiron prescription and applied it. Between the shot and the the two applications I have ended up with a persistent headache. I can just keep on top of it with Ibuprofen. Otherwise I'm noticing already positive changes in those targeted conditions. Still concerned about possible side effects including the headaches - I'll back off a bit on the prescribed dosage - which was 1 to 2 pumps a day and see how it goes. 63 yo. T level was 280. ## Hello, Keeroc! How are you doing? Have the headaches improved any? They can be a normal side effect of almost all hormones, when we have to add them to the body via synthetic means. However, as time passes and your body gets used to it, they should ease up and the...

I just started using Axiron. On day 2. I cannot really find any information on when I will start seeing some results? I don't expect day 1, but can I expect day 7? ## Hello, Pedro! How are you? And there really is no set answer on this, it can vary from person to person. Some may see results right away, but it could take longer for those whose testosterone was very low. What has your doctor said about it?

After using Axiron for two or three months, after using Androgel first, for a few months, a blood test taken at my doctor's office showed and overly high red blood cell count. I was using only one pump, split between both armpits. I was instructed to go to a "blood center", or lab, for a phlebotomy, or blood withdrawal. I went once, and since, my doctor has not asked for another draw at a lab, or contacted me for another visit. I noticed side effects opposite of what I would have imagined, smaller flaccid penis size, more difficulty in getting an erection, although my sex "drive" seemed somewhat boosted, I couldn't perform as well as before T supplements. But, the most important thing to note here is the high red blood cell count, which can lead to clotting, or s...

When I was using Axiron, I developed 2 skin tags in my arm pits. I want to have a normal Testosterone level but not with these gross tags growing under my arms. Has anyone else had these problems? ## Hello, Bill! How are you? it might be due to the testosterone, hormones can sometimes do that, but it could also just be normal for you, some people are prone to developing them. Skin tags are really harmless, they can just be annoying and unsightly. Has your doctor confirmed that's what they are? You should make sure to have them checked out to be certain. If they are, they can be removed quite easily right in your doctor's office.

Hello, My doctor has me on 30 mg daily, 1 pump per axilla, and I was wondering how often would I need to purchase a new prescription, once a month? I was on injections but decided to go the Axiron route as this is less painful. Thanks. ## Glenn, your dosage details are inconsistent, as Axiron dispenses 30 mg per pump. So if you are at 1 pump per axilla, that is 60 mg total per day (30 mg each armpit). This is the usual starting dose. One bottle of Axiron contains enough for 60 pumps, or 30 days at one pump per axilla per day. But if you're at 30 mg per day, that's only one pump per day, not one pump per axilla, and a bottle will last you two months. Hope this helps. I'm not a doctor but I just started Axiron so I just went through calculating all of this stuff with my doctor...

Going with 60mg with T level at 275. Will keep you guys posted ## Hi Scott, Just noticed you posted this on the 2nd of May and was wondering how well Axiron's been working for you since then? I came across a few other discussion threads talking about this medication, but their reviews give me the sense that it's really not that effective at all. Maybe your experience is totally different? Discuss/Weight-Gain-and-No-Energy-AXIRON-237890.htm Discuss/Axiron-Estrogen-blocker-238521.htm Any info at all is greatly appreciated! Thanks! :) ## So after two weeks, I noticed the hard on a little stronger. As far as increased energy and losing weight, nothing to notice or report on. I started with 60mg for the first month, one application under each arm pit. I went back to the Dr. and he ga...

Has anyone found any site or group that will help cover the cost that about $400? Any help or leads or suggestions be greatly appreciated. ## On their website, Axiron.com, they do have a co-pay card that helps lower what you have to pay for it, usually it makes it between $25 to $75 a month. Learn more Axiron details here. Unfortunately, if your insurance doesn't cover it, or if you don't have insurance, I haven't found any assistance programs for it. Have you tried asking your doctor about a cheaper alternative? Sometimes the injections are much less expensive. ## Yes read the co-pay card it only covers $25-$75 of insurance co-pay or of retail price. Their program changed earlier this year. As for less expensive there isn't any after you factor the office visit, the cos...
