Is there any significant side effect of atropine meant to prevent excess saliva secretion?

I want to know if I can safely use Atropine Sulfate as a treatment for excessive saliva? Does it have sulfa in it? I am allergic to sulfa. Also, is it safe to use under the tongue?

Verwon Says:

It can depend on the person and their tolerance of the medication and what the effective dosage is for them.

The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, and heat intolerance.

Carolyn, are you allergic to sulfa, or sulphur?
