Atorvastatin 80mg Daily

56 YO Male, taking this after a stint. I also take Atenolol, 100mg daily, Losartan 100mg 2x daily and Clopidogrel 75mg daily. Since the stint and the new meds, I am constantly dizzy. I do not believe the stint has anything to do with it, since it saved my life. I have read blogs where people feel uncomfortable with this "metal thing" in their body. I have no such feelings, I am eternally grateful for the "metal thing" and the miracle surgeons that put it there and saved my life. But back to my dizziness. Any suggestions??

It's difficult to say, because all of the medications you're taking have the potential to cause dizziness and it's possible that it's compounded due to that fact.

The blood pressure/cardiac medications, Atenolol and Losartan also have the potential to cause orthostatic hypotension, which would be a sudden drop in blood pressure, when you sit up or stand up suddenly.

They may also be lowering yours a bit too much, which could be causing it.

Do you check your blood pressure regularly?

Have you asked your doctor about it?

I also had a stent fitted and take similar heart pills, the Arvastatin was increased from 20 to 80. I was so tired, but couldn't sleep because of leg cramps, also had dizziness very lethargic. I stopped taking the Arvastatin and was a different person, back to my normal self. AFter discusing with GP, he prescribed 40 mg but the symptoms have come back again, so I am going back and have stopped taking them again. There must be other options
