My last bottle of 40mg Atorvastatin manufactured by Mylan smells and tastes like alcohol. I called Walgreens and the Pharmacist could also smell this. Should I still take it? Where would I take these pills to have them checked?

Re: Vikas (# 1)

I have just started myself on same medication about 4 months now. I have not seen any side effects other than a one time pain in my lower legs with swelling, after standing up for over 6 hours. I already have osteoarthritis prior to taking this as prescribed for cholesterol. I see my doctor every 3 months to monitor my both blood pressure and weight. Doctor takes blood test every 6 months to check effects of both blood pressure medication and my cholesterol.
