Can I take arthrexin n prednisone together?? If yes, what dosages?? And can i be on this intake for long term treatment? ## Shoneez, have you consulted your doctor? Arthrexin contains the active ingredient Indomethacin, which is a very potent nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, and it has been known to cause fluid retention that can result in the swelling you've described, as a side effect, it can also ...

Hi, my husband has been taking Arthrexin for gout in his feet for about a year now. He only takes it when the gout flares up however everytime he takes it it causes him severe dizziness. The dizzy spells incapacitate him and the only thing he can do is go to bed. One doctor said this was normal and another said it wasn't and I can't find any reviews where other people have experienced the same. What's your thoughts? ## Arthrexin contains the active ingredient Indemethacin, which is a potent nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory used to treat pain, fever, and swelling. Dizziness, drowsiness, stomach irritation, and headache can be normal side effects of it as documented by MedlinePlus. However, it is unusual for it to be that severe. Is he on any other medications? Has he had the ca...

I Have a liver complaint which is under control at the moment with the help of Prednisone. I have very bad joint pains can I use Arthrexin with these steroids. ## You should not take them together, unless your doctor approves. While they are in different medication classes, they do some of the same things, such as relieving pain, and swelling. The NIH also warns that they may cause an increased risk of bleeding, stomach pain, headache, acne, and fluid retention. What is your liver issue? Arthrexin is not a steroid, it contains Indomethacin, which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory.

I AM TAKING ARTHREXIN TABLETS FOR LOWER BACK PAIN FOR THE LAST 13 YEARS BUT AFTER A STROKE [12/11/14] I WAS TOLD TO STOP TAKING IT. HOWEVER THE LOWER BACK PAIN STARTED AGAIN.... CAN I TAKE ANTI-INFLAMMATORY MEDS [ARTHREXIN] TOGETHER WITH ALL THE MEDS FOR HBP AND CHOLESTEROL [LIKE STATINS]? ## My husband has always taken Arthrexin for his joint pains. He is now on Warfarin and would like to know if he can take them together as the doctor has strongly advised against this and nothing else seems to work. ## Hello, Avi and Linda! How are you both? No, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories can be very risky in both situations and should be avoided. If something for pain is needed, each respective doctor should be consulted to discover what medication can be taken safely. Is there anything else I ...

I have fibromyalgia and suffer extreme pain in various parts of my body. For the last four months, pain in my hip has almost debilitated me. I use as little pain medication as possible as I hate filling my body with chemicals. I have been using panamor along with natural pain relief methods but would like to know if I can take Arthrexin & Panamor 100mg together? ## No, these are both non-steroidal anti-inflammatories, so that would be doubling up on them, which can increase your risk of liver damage, liver failure, stomach irritation, and stomach ulceration, according to the NIH. It would be best to stick with one, or the other, as instructed by your doctor. Is there anything else I can help with?

My daughter has been prescribed with 3 types of meds. Arthrexin, Allopurinol, & prednisolone. She has taken more than prescribed. Because of the pain in her foot. She has gout. Now is that normal to take 8 tablets altogether? I need your expertise on this matter? ## Anya, I'm sorry your daughter is experiencing so much pain.Unfortunately the one best qualified to answer your inquiry is her prescribing physcian or pharmacist. They are uniquely qualified where as we are not. Regards

Hello I had breast cancer in 2014, had a lumpectomy and 35 radiotherapy, and now currently on Neophedan -20 . Blood in your stools is certainly not normal. However, the US National Institute of Health (NIH) does list it as a side effect of Arthrexin (indomethacin); whereas they recommend contacting your doctor immediately. @Maggie, If you haven't tried this alr...

Hi.have been getting gout attacks and got bursites on my elbows very bad tried various drugs only artherexin worked.bursitis has gone and no more gout attacks.have been using for three years with no problems or side effect ## Hello, Jono! How are you doing? I'm glad that it's working for you. This medication is listed as containing the active ingredient Indomethacin, which can be very harsh on the stomach, so I strongly urge you to make sure you don't take it on an empty stomach. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and increased risk of bleeding. Long-term use could also cause fluid retention and elevated blood pressure, so those are things you should be aware of. Is there anything else I can help with?

I used to take 25mg Arthrexin daily after supper to control pain caused by rheumatoid arthritis. After a few years, it began to affect my stomach. So, my doctor prescribed 15mg Coxflam instead. When I read about posible side effects of Coxflam, I found it to be the same as Arthrexin. Are there any need to worry before experiencing any side effects? ## Hello, Dirk! How are you? You are correct, they are both nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories that carry the same risks. And yes, because with long-term use you could experience stomach damage or liver damage, but you may not actually experience any side effects that lets you know it's happened. Have you found yourself to be bruising easier than usual? Any nausea or stomach pain? ## Can my husband use coxflam for arhritis in he's arms ...

I have noticed these capsules lying around in my vehicle. I would like to know if it can be used together with Canabis and what the side effects are. As far as I know my Husband does not have gout accept for Asthma, but He is not a medicine person. It worries me as I noticed these capsules lying all over His bag and I am very doubtful as He used to use drugs before. Please help! ## Hello, Tazz! How are you? This medication can treat more than just gout. Arthrexin contains the active ingredient Indomethacin, which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory that treats pain, fever and swelling. So it can be taken for headaches, muscle aches, sprains and other things, as well. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache and stomach irritation. I have got bells palsy day 5, I think im getting gout I have arthrexin for gout, could I take this while im on panafcortelone. ## Hello, Ace! How are you doing? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. No, these two medications should not be mixed, they both increase the toxicity of the other, so it's just not safe to do so. It would be best to ask your doctor what is safe for you to take. The Panafcortelone is a steroid that may cause side effects such as nausea, dizziness, headache, elevated heart rate, elevated blood pressure, headache, fluid retention and acne. Had migraine for 20y+, 3-4 attacks pm. Received a tip to take Arthrexin ,1 daily. No more migraine ! Seven months down the line. It's working like a charm ! But I want to know why ? It really changed my life ! Anyone out there had the same ecperience ? ## From what I could gather, Arthrexin (Indomethacin) is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) commonly used as a prescription medication to reduce fever, pain, stiffness, and swelling. It has also been shown to be effective in migraine, both for prevention of migraine as well as treating the acute migraine attack. It works by inhibiting the production of prostaglandins, molecules known to cause these symptoms. This pharmacology may be what's attributing to the success of this medication. I've also come across several...

i took 5 arthrexin - 25. had high blood pressure 226 / 102 did the arthrexin cause this ## I have smoked canabis for more than 10 years I have stopped smoking but now am battling with high blood pressure ## @harry, Although I do believe cannabis can help a lot with high blood pressure, there are also other natural alternatives you can try on the side. First and foremost, changes in your diet are most likely going to have the biggest impact on your blood pressure. Eating foods that have little to no sodium and which are high in potassium and magnesium are your best food sources for lowering blood pressure in my opinion. These foods primarily include fresh fruits and vegetables; bananas and dates in particular are great for this, among many others! Other dietary and non dietary options fo...
