Does the company who makes Ancept for memory loss offer any funding help? My doctor gave me a prescription for it and when I went to purchase it at the pharmacy, I was told it cost $260 or close to it. I cannot afford to take it and don't know what to do. Thanks for any advice. ## Did you mean Aricept? If so, it is manufactured by Pfizer and yes, they do have a program for those without prescription insurance. To find out if you qualify, you can call them at 800-226-2072

What is the yellow pill with RC25 on top with nothing on the other side? I know there is a yellow pill with rc26 marking which is a 10 mg. Aricept. This is not that. My pill may possibly be an Aricept but if it is it supposed to be 5mg. Wanted to verify identity but can't find ANYTHING identified with that marking online. ## Yes, that is correct, the oe with the RC25 on it contains 5mgs of Donepezil, the active ingredient in Aricept. It is most commonly used to treat the symptoms of Alzheimer's Disease. Side effects may include: nausea, abdominal pain, anorexia and diarrhea. Learn more: Are there any other questions?

Father's dosage was increased by doctor. I suspect that the nursing home may just want to keep Dad in his wheelchair to keep him from falling, rather than concern for his memory. VA doctors wanted to know why the increase in dosage? Dad is extremely sleepy most of the time, moreso than with the 5 mg dosage.
