Yes you can buy Argyrol directly from their site as Diane mentioned in her post.
The antiseptic power of this product according to my Mother when she was very young in Cuba was legendary but we all know very well that cheap medicine for humanity is a NONO now a days!
Just ask the Pharmaceutical companies?

No. It is related to silver nitrate but Argyrol is a silver protein liquid brown compound. I supposed it could do as well as silver nitrate when instilling it into an infant's eyes if diluted appropriately. But I couldn't be sure if it would kill gonnorhea bug, which it was initially used for. It is still being produced by some chemical / pharmaceutical company when I checked two years ago. Don't have the email from the company anymore. Sorry.
Does anyone know the strength of turpentine that is used for bruises and cuts?

The last time I used Argyrol was in 1994. My mom said every household in Cuba had it. The local pharmacies stopped carrying it, but I found that indeed Argyrol Pharmacies have it. I bought a bottle for my daughter and her sore throat went away.

I use this stuff in the late 70s and early 80s until it couldn't be found anymore. I used to suffer from an impacted passage in my left nostril, whenever I would get a cold. After using Argyrol through several colds this symptom went away and never reappeared. I applied it by putting a drop or two in each eye which would drain down into the back of my sinuses and out into my throat. I was always cautious not to allow my eyes to become stained by overuse.
I was given a bottle of Cristal Argyrol by a pharmacist who had inherited it from his predecessor. He responsibly admonished me not to use it. Can't say I obeyed him.

its safe for LIMITED uses yes, but its only effective in high concentrations (in a petridish) if it is applied inside the body (intranasal, oral or inhalation) then the Silver nitrate (or Ionic silver it doesnt matter in what form since it will be transformed in the body anyway just add or substract a step or two) will accumulate and buildup in the skin and other organs.
Beware that this is irreversable and can ultimatly cause a condition known as Argyria (skin turning gray). So yes it can inhibit the growth of some microbes, in high concentrations but only if its in such high doses that its ill advised to try on a regular basis. The best way against infections is a strong immunesystem. Immuneboosters or trainers (in form of probiotics for example) are the best way against chronic infections.
It does JACK against the vast majority of viruses btw.

Wow stopped me in my tracts of even considering using it when I saw pictures & read this lady's "Argyria story"! She is very angry that anyone is allowed to sell anything with silver in it & has made it her mission to try to stop it. She turned gray when she was a child from it. I'm sure not taking any chances.

At 78 years old I'm still alive and kicking. My mother gave myself and my three siblings Argyrol drops in our noses anytime we had the symptoms of a cold or runny nose. All four of us are alive and well. If I could find it now, I would recommend it for my grandchildren. It always worked well for us. I'm not even gray haired. No, I don't dye my hair.

I used Argyrol on a giant WART that came out on my dogs toe. It was about the size of a dime and looked like bright fiery red cauliflower (so gross). I applied the Argyrol topically on the wart and a little squirt of a couple drops into his mouth for about for about six days. The wart started to shrink very rapidly over that period of time until it was completely gone. The speed with which Argyrol literally Caused the wart to disappear was astonishing. There was an attempt to squash it out of the market place by the big corporate conglomerate that controlled it because they could make more money selling 200 different crappy anti-biotics that really served to make new customers for the very same syndicate.

I am 57 years old and frequently used argerol ss medicine in a bottle that I bought at the pharmacy over the counter back in the 70's, 80's and 90's. I used the dropper in the bottle to squirt it down the nose and down the throat for a sore throat. It helped the problems within hours. Now it's hard to find. It worked good for me. The old timers used it.
