Is Aplenzin (Bupropion Hydrobromide) ER a narcotic?

My mother brought to my attention that anything with the word "hydro" in any medication could be a narcotic. I have a family history of drug abusers and don't want to follow in their steps so I would appriciate it if someone could answer this clearly as possible for me. Thank you for your time. ## Hi Ghost - to answer your question, no, Bupropion Hydrobromide is not a narcotic. It is an antidepressant (in a different class of drugs). The term "Hydro" in this case is from chemistry and refers to a chemical compound of this medication.
