Any Known Studies Of Long Term Complications From Lo Loestrin?

I've been on Lo Loestrin for 2 years. It's the only pill that controls my heavy periods. Recently, I stopped taking it (upon advice from dr.) After 3 months, still don't have a period. Not worried at this time, but was wondering about any long-term side effects (like infertility). Will certainly discuss with my GYN, but would like to read more on my own. Anyone aware of any studies that looked at Loestrin/Lo Loestrin and possible fertility complications associated with long term use?

Long-term use of hormonal contraceptives may increase the risk of developing certain types of cancer, such as that of the breast. But no, it hasn't been known to cause permanent fertility issues.

Pranita, I'm sorry, but there is no such medication. Have you discussed the issue with your husband? I think being open and honest would be best.
