Any Success Stories After Risperedol

My son was doing fine for a few weeks on Risperdal and is now feeling lifeless and has much anxiety. Are there any success stories someone can share with me?

What dosage is he on?

It generally takes a few weeks for these types of medications to reach their full effectiveness in the body, so it could be that he's on too high of a dosage, or it just isn't the right medication for him.

Regardless of how many success stories you could find, what it really boils down to is how it works for your son, not anyone else, since everyone is different.

My ex-husband had a similar experience, he had no problems for the first few weeks, but after that it turned out to be way too strong for him, once it reached its full effect and it just made him sleep all day and he wasn't able to function.

My son is 15, started meds a few months ago, was doing great but then started going back to premed behavior. After another hospitalization a new diagnosis, found out he had break through on resperidal and once they increased it, lowered his anxiety meds he has been wonderful!!! Each person is different so it may take several times to get it right but keep at it. I'm new to this and pray you get through it successfully.
