That said, finding information on them is very difficult, since there are no databases which list them all, like there are for U.S. prescription drugs. The only thing I can suggest is that you try asking your doctor or pharmacist for more information. ## One product we found is called Gelmicin, a topical antibiotic, anti-inflammatory and antifungal. These products are normally sold separately in the US, whether for i...

Inserting the glenmark clotrimazole suppository

Hi. I went to the clinic for an infection and they gave me glenmark clotrimazole - 1 vaginal tablet. So I did use it yesterday night but today in the morning it came back out like a discharge; it was indeed the tablet that came out like a liquid. So I want to know if it's normal or if I didn't administer it properly? ## Hello, Zinlhe! How are you? Sorry about the infection. Yes, any time you use something like this that you insert vaginally, there will be some that is discharged, that is normal. It really just isn't possible for all of it to be absorbed. Some of the discharge may even have been due to the infection itself. If your symptoms don't go away in a few days, you should return to the clinic for a follow up. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I just inser...

Taking Klion D, but my period started

What should you do if you are on Klion D 100 and you get your period? ## I would like to know if it is safe to use klion D during a menstrual period? ## Should I continue taking Klion D during my period? ## According to PubChem, Klion-D contains "Metronidazole mixture with Miconazole". This is used to treat vaginal yeast / fungal infections. Speaking from my wife's experience, she was on a treatment of Monistat 7 (Miconazole) during her menstrual cycle before, and she said that instead of taking the regular 7 day course, she had to take it for 10 days to help. I'd double check with your doctor to ensure that it is okay for you to do, but I just wanted to share what my wife said worked for her. I hope this helps.

Is it safe to use tolnaftate after its expired? ## Is it safe to use tolnoftate after one month of expiration date? ## I used 11 years old expired (yes, thats not a typo) spray tinactin (expired 2005, its 2016) continuously for multiple weeks without any negative things happening. Its hard to say if it was helping my athlete's foot though. ## Mine is 10 years old.. I'm using it and it seems to be working a little. ## Hello Govezy, From what I have read on the manufacturer's website it should be safe to use the expired tolnaftate but it has no guarantee of performing as intended. Asorbine has the same ingredient as Tinactine foot spray. Absorbine is for muscles etc. on humans and horses. ## Yes! They are the same. I have used Absorbine liniment for horses for over 30 years. Why? Because I have horses and after a long weekend of showing I would apply to my horses and decided to use it on myself. It works wonders. I use a lot of horse products on myself. Hoofmaker for nails and Mane & Tail shampoo and conditioner. Yep, I used this before people began using it on their hair. ...

Cracked tongue

I have a cracked tongue, mostly in the front and have this salty taste in my mouth. When I eat foods it stings...the salty taste has been in my mouth for a few months. I do have post nasal drip and ear problems... What to do? ## If this has been going on for a month you need to consult your physician or go to the ER right away. Wishing you the best of health. Your mouth is the quickest area to heal. I would lay off of all foods with salt in them. ## The NIH warns that these symptoms could be signs of dehydration. Do you also have any dry skin, or dry lips? What color is your urine? How much fluid do you take in each day? I must agree with the other post, since it has been going on this long, you should really have this checked out by your doctor. I frequently get the salty taste, when I...

Lamisil treatment: 84 days vs 90 days

Hi Everyone, I've been taking Lamisil tablets for a toe fungus and my (250 mg) tablets originated from Europe. It is my understanding the treatment for toenail fungus is 12 weeks (90 days) - but my supply is 84 tablets - I'm shy 6 tablets to complete the 90 day treatment. I'm back in the States, but my doctor does not want to write a prescription for only six tablets without coming in for a consultation - in other words, without putting a few hundred bucks in his pocket first. My question is: Is there any real difference in effectiveness between an 84 day treatment and a 90 day treatment? I'm aware that I have to wait several months before I see a change. I was told that typically in Europe these tablets, sold by the month, come in boxes of 28 - and 3 boxes would of cour...

Expired clotrimazole

It is 669K 00T12 -- please tell me what the expiration date is. ## Look at the metal end of the tube and you will see the expiration date. You may need a magnifier. It is etched. ## Bob, can you see the manufacturer name on there anywhere? If so let me know, maybe it would be possible to contact them with that lot # and they could know the date based on that? And Jasmine's suggestion is probably right too, any luck with that? Interested to know either way. ## I posted the "Exp. date" etched on the end of the tube. But it's not a date!
