I was prescribed Macrobid 4 times a day for 14 days back in June 2015. After 10 days my heart was racing , I had a headache so bad it felt like my brain was swelling. After reading some blogs and seeing what other folks were experiencing I quit taking them on day 10. I am still having severe palpitations 3 months later and feeling my heart skipping beats. Until the Macrobid I have never had this happen. I recently was put on a 24 hour heart monitor and it only worked for 14 hours before it errored. When they downloaded the recording it showed I had over 5000 incidents in the 14 hours. I'm scheduled now for an echo cardiac ultrasound in 3 days and my physician wants to put me on a low dose beta blocker. I feel nervous about the beta-blocker so am waiting til the ultrasound. I was given a medium sized white pill with AMG on one side and YH on the other for a dental problem. What is it ## Was given this in South Korea after I said my stomach hurt taking the antibiotics for implant surgery. Hi I'm on 118 mg of methadone and I was just prescribed 100 mg of doxycycline. Since I've started taking this combination I have been experiencing withdrawal symptoms. About 30 minutes after I take my antibiotic I start getting leg cramps, sneezed and about a hour after i take it I'm on the toilet with the diarrhea. I have 6 levofloxacin 500 mg tablets with an expiration date of 12-23-13. Will they still be effective? ## Medications do lost efficacy over time, so they may not work well enough to full eradicate an infection, according to NIH reports. Thus, it would be best to dispose of them and see your doctor for a new prescription, if you need an antibiotic. My husband has been taking this med for a virus. He will eat something small before taking b/c it upset his stomach. Shortly after taking he will get hiccups that will last for awhile. Can this med cause this and should he keep taking? ## First of all, Cephalexin is an antibiotic, so it is only effective against infections, it will not do anything for a virus, since it's not an antiviral medication. I have taken amoxicilina many times during my life; bought in the US and in Honduras. This last week I got a bottle of 60 capsulas while in Cozumel, to complete my antibiotic treatment (I lost the previous amoxi I was taking). I am very familiar with the smell and taste of amoxicilina and penicillin. I open the capsules when I take it, it tastes bad, and has a unique taste & smell (also in urine). I have to take my meds every 12 hours. I took my first dose at 3pm. When do I take the next? ## The next dose should be taken at 3am, according to FDA guidelines. Thus, if you don't wish to be up at 3am, you may want to change your dosing schedule. What medication are you taking? Started 300 Clindamycin Friday after 2 pills my chest n neck were beet red. I tried to take again the next day the same thing happened. My whole neck n throat Red n Burning. Is it safe to use nebulized amikacin after the expiration date? My pharmacy sent me the amikacin a week before I needed it and now when I need to use it, it says it's expired. The pharmacy is closed for the weekend and I have no one to ask. I take bactrim and alieve and don't do any drugs and had a positive drug screen for suboxone and benzos. I am taking this medication for a UTI. I have been on it for a day and a half. This morning I was suddenly wakened by a loud sound in my ears (sounded like birds chirping), and a stinging pain across my face, down my spine into my arms and legs - worse on my left side than on my right. I sat up and walked around and it finally subsided, although it was hard to walk at first. It felt like my muscles didn't want to respond.
