Amoxicillin 875 Mg Side Effects

I had a severe reaction to this where I broke out starting at my hands and feet with itching, then broke out around my lips and eyes and then my legs from top to bottom. My tongue swelled and itched everywhere. I took benadryl, then my heart started to hurt, feeling like an attack. I do know that the amoxicillin caused the itch and swelling of my tongue but do not know what caused my heart to react.

I'm sorry you had to go through all that. I hope you got emergency medical attention after all that! Based on my research, it does sound like you had an allergic reaction to the Amoxicillin. In regards to the chest pain, the Benadryl shouldn't have caused that since it is safe to take with Amoxicillin. Everyone is different though, so maybe it did effect you in some way. I did read that chest pain has been reported as a side effect of Amoxicillin by people with high blood pressure, osteoporosis, pain, multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis. If you don't have any of those conditions, my best guess is that the stress from all of the side effects may have been the cause.
