Amneal Pharmaceuticals Hydrocodone 10-325 (Page 2)

Updated

I have been taking hydrocodone 10-325 (made by Watson) for about a year. I picked up my prescription yesterday and instead of the normal yellow pill, I received a white oblong pill imprinted with m367 on it. I took 2 for breakthrough pain and had no relief what-so-ever. I called the pharmacy and was told that they will no longer be able to get the med from Watson. Does anyone know what has happened? I have chronic pain, and these white ones from Amneal Pharmaceuticals is not going to cut it. Has anyone else experienced this?

Me, too. I was given Vesta from CVS and went to Walgreens because twice my pils were short a pill at CVS and I can't have a pillclipper taking my medication who works there and they do nothing. One pill, twice that I know of. But the Amnea kicked my butt a little. I think it's stronger, personally.

Hello. I know exactly what you're going through. Yes, walgreens and cvs changed it to amneal but it didnt do anything for me either. So I switched to the pharmacy at westlake. Or you can try jewel or walmart. They said they are taking the narcotic part out so you dont get addicted. I have chronic pain all over... I was in an accident, broke my spine, my neck and the back of my skull, and had a total knee replacement and this bulls*** they are doing ain't going to cut it. I will probably die of pain.

You are right that is exactly what they are trying to do. Plus during the quality lacking the price has doubled! But this is a fact, generic companies can legally use 80% of the active ingredient. They aren’t even bound by law to use 100% of the active ingredient. So the people are being robbed of both their money, their time that could be spent pain free and they are robbed of valuable HOME / WORK times.

I was on the Watson 10/325 and doing great. Then Walgreens decides to have the hairbrush idea and get Amneal and I told them to put it in my file that I get sick from these. Well, I took one without looking and now I have heartburn and upset stomach and the Texas trots... They have the new brand that's the same as Watson and is Actavis but won't change it out for me. Because I left the store. So make sure the *****s that we trust put in the right meds because they won't warn you of any changes.... Good luck to everyone.

I was getting Hydrocodone from Walgreen's and the manufacturer was Actavis. The pill said Watson but Watson sold out to Actavis and the pills were not working the other day. I went to get a script filled for the Hydro at Walgreen's and they changed the manufacturer to Amneal. Well, these are not working and they give me a headache. I think all these manufacturers need to be investigated. They are playing around with pain meds by lessening ingredients.

Is there a hydrocodone 10mg tablet without acetaminophen in it? I have hep. C and don't need to irritate my liver with this 3 times a day!

Absolutely! I am 70 years old with a degenerative muscle condition. Has been taking hydrocodone (Watson 10/325) successfully for four years. I picked up new prescription yesterday and it was the amneal 1p10. They make me dizzy, nauseated and I had terrible nightmares all night. I don't think I can continue taking this brand. I am not abusing this drug intake exactly as prescribed, but I almost feel like my life is over if I cannot find the original what's the brand.

I just picked up my Norco and noticed the shape was different Walgreens had the Watson then went to ACTAVIS that's when I noticed my medicine was not helping the pain unless I took 1/12 and I have to take it every 3 hours whereas I used to take the Watson's every 4-6 hours and now I looked at my pills I got today and they are a completely different shape and the manufacturer is Amneal from what I am reading I am going to be pain with these. I have very severe osteoarthritis throughout my body, both knees are bad I have Osteopenia in my back plus degenerative disc and joint disease , I can't take any no aids due to a stomach condition.

Anyone who says there is no difference in yelling w norco and white norco has never taken them. There is totally a difference. They kill your stomach and your life. The white is a nasty drug.Same with Lott an.Brand makes your pain go away for hours and generic makes your stomach have pain Nasusa fussy headed and no pain relief.Take another one and your throwing up.The generic should be banned. It is horrible. At least with the brand you can be a productive adult. Its the movie stars who are killing theirselves and ruined it for Thoes who really need it.If you think there isn't a difference pop a couple of generic and wait to go throw up.As A professional I would be embarrassed to blame a dye on the difference.what the heck is in the dye.I can get dye over the counter.Im serious .

The exact same thing happened to me on the same date and time as with you, yesterday, 1-5-2018, at Walgreens. I usually got Watson Hydrocodone/apap 10-325 mg. The RX said Norco, etc., as usual, but I got Amneal instead. I called them about it and they said they were using a different warehouse, now, instead for the same co-pay. I'm pissed off!! What pharmacy can I get brand name Watson in Macon, Georgia? There must be some kind of conspiracy going on and they're probably placebos by Big Pharma. That's why people are probably overdosing because of this.

Amneal are not effective and cause nausea. Before having your prescription electronically filled, make sure you contact a pharmacy that doesnt carry it!

I am having the exact same problem for over a period of time! The Amneal generic is reported to have a generic version of the active ingredient that is used in the brand name! It gives me an intense headache and stomach pain!

I firmly believe that government intervention and the FDA has pulled the stock made by watson and activis from pharmacies because of its classification of their products being " super potent". Now the new stock of AMNEAL and others are purposely made to a strength lower than a codeine # 2 or less. Another manufacturer used I'd an India base maker. The attempt is to mask the ingredients
by falsifying the chemical contents. I believe the FDA is fully behind this scene as it tries to interfere under the guise of the so called opiate crisis. Many chronic pain sufferers on well aware that the current supply of hydrocodone is not effective and that the side effects of fake opiate causes nausea and stomach disorders. Certain drug companies should have the legal right to have this fully investigated. It is not clear whether or not the medical community or pain management physicians are in on this scam or not. This only solution to help chronic pain sufferers is to make clear to their physicians that a stronger medication such as Percocet needs to be prescribed. Physicians in that speciality will begin to lose patients, patients will most likely will no longer find relief. This again is a perfect example of government's intrusion into the market place.

Becky (# 4) -

I suffer from well documented bad disc problems in my lumbar and cervical region, from occupational wear and a bad car accident. Watson brand helped me tolerate a decent percent of my pain. I just tried Amneal and got a bad headache with not half the relief obtained from watson brand. It's like going from a 10 mg, to a 4mg. Lets hope someone has the funds, or a group can pitch in and have an Amneal, plus a few other brands tested at a lab and get the comps on ingredients. A pharmacist at a Walgreens in Michigan, told me they can drop the hydrocodone 15% on generics, and smiled. I asked if that's what Amneal did and she said yes with a grin, like it was a victory for God knows who. I'm sick of the stigma tied to pain meds. It's not fair to make innocent people suffer and treat patients and doctors like we are second class citizens. They are tying to heroin, because the government can't or won't stop it from coming into our country. When they refer to the opioid epidemic, the true fatalities are not norco, but heroin.

Re: Basil (# 38) Expand Referenced Message

Thank-you for your comment on the "Watson" and sub-strength issue of the interference of hydrocodone by those involved. I'm staying with a stomach issue (pain) because of Amneal and will talk to the doctor shortly. Will not continue seeing him if something of greater strength is not prescribed. I have Sciatic nerve problems and unfixable chronic back issues. They wouldn't operate and now the herniated discs have calcified and press on the nerve. They actually admitted that because I was on Medicare they wouldn't operate even though Medicare said they would pay more (by phone) but to no avail. Greed! Not sure that a free Rx Discount card will help. I have Walmart Humana drug insurance and I still pay most of the cost and they went up at beginning of this year, like everyone else, as you know.
