trazadone natural replacement

Does anyone know anything I can take OTC that works in the way trazadone 50 mg does? Ambien never helped and all the other Rx for sleep....I do also know this is an antidepressant. I just kicked methadone after some years so my Rx ran out early. Haven't been sleeping at all...thanks ?? ## Unfortunately, no there isn't an OTC medication that will work like it does, that's why they are OTC and these others require prescriptions. The FDA warns that most of these carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, mood changes, and sedation. There are some medications available OTC to help with insomnia, have you tried any of them? Are you on any other medications? ## Verwon- Thanks for your reply melatonin does not work for m...

how long does it take for ambien 10mg to start working
11 Replies RSS
Just wanted a answer to how long ambien starts to work, for the insomnia. And how long does, it help for ## Ambien starts to work within minutes of taking it, which is why the monograph instructs you to take it right when you are laying down to sleep and not any earlier. Learn more Ambien details here. As to how long it helps for, the regular release really isn't intended to help you stay asleep, it's meant for those that have trouble falling asleep. If you have trouble staying asleep, there is a controlled release formulation that you can ask your doctor about. Side effects may include nausea, drowsiness, hallucinations and next day hangover like effects. Is there anything else I can help with? ## My pain doctor just told me he wanted me off of Klonopin or he would reduce my pa...

Hello, I've been taking generic Ambien, Zolpidem, 10 mg. each night sometimes 20 mg once in awhile when one tablet did not work (I am going through menopause, my hormone fluctuates) for a month. How do I taper the med. safely so I do not get insomnia rebound? thanks. Michelle ## HUSBANDS DR SAID CUT PILL IN HALF AND TAKE 1/2 DOSE FOR 1 WEEK OR SO, THEN D/C. HE DIDNT TRUST IT, BUT IT WORKED. ## this site is not medical professionals, so you should consult with your doctor. Suz's advice is probably the most practical solution, however. There are quite a few reports online that say it can cause withdrawal effects if you suddenly stop taking it, even after just a few weeks, so you do need to be careful. If you experience them, contact your doctor immediately. They can include: nause...

Can I take another Ambien 6.25mg dose (after discovering I had 65 minutes of things to do) after I had taken the first one? I'll still have 8 hours of sleep available. ## No, to avoid risking an overdose, it would be best to take the dosage your doctor has prescribed. The FDA warns that this medication may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, sleep actions, and hallucinations. Are you on any other medications?

orange round pill scored with no markings
1 Reply RSS
I have an orange yellowish pill with no imprint on one side and a line on the other to split down the middle. It's an Ambien pill most likely, but I just want to double check. ## In the U.S. all prescription tablets are required to have unique markings to enable their identification, in case of emergency, this if a tablet has no markings, it is most likely an over the counter medications, though there is also a small change that it could be a foreign drug. The FDA warns that Ambien may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, sleep actions, hallucinations, and next day hangover-like effects. Do you know anything else about it, such as where it was found?

My doc prescribed 10mg ambien for and 50mg trazadone 1st nite, 1 ambien 110mg. 2nd nite and 1 ambien and 150mg trazadone 3rd nite . I stopped after third nite amd having 3 nites of insomnia . How long will insomnia last? I am going thru perimenopause so doc said I could take up to 150 mg trazadone and 10 mg ambien if needed. thanks. ## There is really no way for us to say how long your insomnia issues may last. It could be caused by the condition you are going through, stopping the medications, a reaction to the medications, some other health problem of a combination of any of these. The Trazodone should actually should actually cause drowsiness, along with dry mouth, headache and nausea. The Ambien is used for the short-term treatment of insomnia. zolfed 10 ambien

I've been researching for 2 hours. The alleged manufacturer in India doesn't even make this product. And what they're putting in the pills will make you sick. ## @Jd, If you received these from an unlicensed pharmacy then in my opinion it's more than likely a scam product. I notice that some of the internet pharmacies based over in India make up random brand names for otherwise popular medications to maybe throw people off. Zolfed for example sounds like a knock-off name of Zoloft or Zolpidem. Unfortunately with false marketing at hand, there's no way to know for sure what these tablets contain unless you were to have the tablet analyzed by a lab. What was the name of the company you went through? And did you file a complaint with your credit/debit card institution? ...

Awake at 4 AM like clockwork.I switched to temazapam 30 mg. 1 at bedtime now I sleep like a baby all night and I sleep sound. I tried all over the counter sleep aids they only dry me out. ## Hello, Steven! How are you? Ambien 10mg still can't sleep

Why is it that I take a 10mg ambient, fall right asleep for about 2 hours then get up on and off throughout the night? ## Hello, Fran! How are you? For some people, the regular release formulation of this medication only helps them to fall asleep, but not stay asleep. However, there is a time released formulation called Ambien CR that is intended to help with that issue, so you may want ask your doctor about trying it. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, hallucinations, sleep actions and next day hangover-like effects. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I take half of a 10mg and chew it up. If I wake up a few hours later (often because of pain) I just chew up the other half and go back to sleep.

would 400mg of clonazapem and70mg ambien with alcohol be fatal
4 Replies RSS
Is this a fatal combination? If i started drinking heavily and the injested this amount, would it be deadly? ## Hi Savanagh, yes, this combination of drugs and alcohol can be deadly. Are you depressed and having problems? Nothing and no one is worth taking your life. Please, talk with your doctor about what's going on in your life and how you feel. A medical professional can help you with your problems. ## Ingesting that much clonazepam and Ambien is just suicide. Drinking alcohol with a benzodiazepine will result in death. You will most likely go into respiratory arrest then cardiac arrest. ## It would be fatal even without alcohol. ## First I am concerned that you would ask about such incredibly high doses of medication. Ambien should not be taken in more than 10 mg. No GOOD MD wou...

URINE DRUG TEST FOR AMBIEN
52 Replies RSS
I am in drug court cause I had addiction to lortab. I get drug tested about 2-3 times a week. They are really strick on what we can take, I mean we can't even take advil. I have really bad insomnia and have a prescription of ambien. So my question is will ambien show up in a urine screen??? ## What type of test are they doing? Neither the Zolpidem in Ambien, nor the Ibuprofen in Advil are substances that are normally tested for on these urine tests. In addition, they cannot deny you the use of a legally prescribed medication. You should just inform them of this, though they can ask for proof from your doctor, if they wish. Ambien can cause side effects, that you should be aware of, such as: nausea, short-term memory loss, hallucinations and delusions. ## thank for ur advice, and I g...

Can ambien and bractim cause a false pos test on a regular drug screen ## I was given a 12 panel drug test and I tested positive for Benzos...I currently take Ambien CR and oxycodone 10 mg. Could the Ambien make my test read positive for the Benzos. ## I too have tested positive for benzos which i didnt even know what it was until i asked. I dont take ambein on a daily basis but i did talk to my doctor and pharmacist about it and i was told ambein is a anti benzo drug but bc it comes from the same family as benzos it may show up. I also have been taking a list of other anti depressants that i questioned about. But the only thing they can think of that caused a positive result is the ambein. ## Ambient can definitely show positive for benzos. It happened to me at the suboxone clinic. Ins...

Need doctor who will prescribe pain medication in Boardman / Youngstown OH. HELP PLEASE...
11 Replies RSS
I suffer from severe fibromyalgia for years now. It is documented and has been acknowledged by other Drs. I have recently relocated to Youngstown Ohio. I recently visited a doctor to become a patient for my pain and other unrelated issues- high blood pressure, etc. The doctor pretty much asked me to leave the office and refused to even consider treating my other nonpain issues AND told me that no other Dr. would bother to see me either. My only recourse for ANY medical treatment would be to visit a hospital-apparently here I am untouchable. I cannot begin to believe that this is the norm here. Any help, suggestions, clinics, etc is greatly appreciated. I am suffering daily and need someone to help. ## What was his reasoning for dismissing you as a patient and saying no other doctor woul...

What I'm trying to say is...will it give me the same results I get from the American ambien?

What Does Ambien Show Up As On A Drug Test
46 Replies RSS
May 20-26 I was in the hospital taking Ambien, ativan and cymbalta. Once I left the hospital I took my ambien sparingly. The ativan even less and no cymbalta at all. However on June 16 I took 1/2 10MG of Ambien. I had a saliva drug test that next morning and it came back as THC, Amphedimines and opiates. How did this happen?? ## Ambien contains the active ingredient Zolpidem and neither it nor the Cymbalta, which contains Duloxetine, are substances tested for on those types of tests and they are also not known to cause false positives for anything else. The Ativan contains Lorazepam, which is a Benzodiazepine and it is also not known to cause false positives. Where you taking anything else? Even over the counter products or something else they gave you in the hospital? ## The only other...
