Altace (ramipril)

pdmTORONTO Says:

I have been taking Ramipril (Altace) 10mg for over ten years and they have ALWAYS been white and BLUE capsules. Last week when I renewed this prescription, they were white and PURPLE.
With all the news lately about counterfeit drugs on the market, this has me wondering.
Has anyone else experienced this?

Does anyone know where I could have this new PURPLE and white capsule analyzed to see if it actually has the same ingredients as the previous BLUE and white capsules? I am in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
