I am responding to the person who asked if Fexofenadine would help with chronic hives. I have taken ALLEGRA for about 20 years for Hives. It is the best drug out there! Do not substitute Fexofenadine for Allegra. They do not work the same. Trust me! Try the Allegra! You WON'T be disappointed!!!!! Good luck!!!!!!

Does the generic instead of name brand really make that much of a difference? Have you experienced depression or vivid/lucid dreams?

No, Fexofenadine is the active ingredient in Allegra.

The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, and headache.

MMama, are those issues you are having while taking it? Are you on any other medications? These medications have been known to cause such issues as side effects, in some people that take them.
