medium blue, oval shaped pill...approx. the size of an aleve with the number 17 on one side. ## That's exactly what I'm finding on this one, a 220mg Naproxen tablet, which is a generic or store brand for Aleve. This is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, so if you have any medical conditions, you shouldn't take it, unless your doctor says it is okay for you to do, because it can cause some potential serious side effects. You are free to learn more Naproxen details here. Is there anything else I can help with?

Is there an over the counter Naproxyn 500mg? ## No, the only dosage approved for over the counter sale are the 220mg tablets that are available as Aleve and the generics or store brands. Learn more Naproxen details here. Are you having trouble affording your prescription?

there was no letters just a line down the middle. on one side. it was light blue and round ## If there are no markings on it, then it is most likely an over the counter product. Learn more OTC drug details here. One in particular that I've seen that looks like this is a generic or store brand of Aleve, they contain 220mgs of Naproxen. Learn more Naproxen details here. But I can't confirm that's what it is, without any markings. Where was it found?

A dark blue oval shape pain pill ## Are there any markings on it? That is what would enable it to be identified. If there are no markings, it is most likely something that's available over the counter and, if that is the case, then the most commonly available oval, blue tablet would be a generic or store brand of Aleve that contains Naproxen. can u take aleve-d and citalopram together?? ## Aleve-D contains Naproxen and Pseudoephedrine and the Naproxen is actually listed as possibly increasing the risk of bleeding, if it is taken with the Citalopram, so you should check with your doctor, before taking it. Is there anything else I can help with?

Both are NSAIDS but are there any advantages to taking one over the other with regard to long term use? i.e. kidney damage or other long term effects. ## Not really, both the Naproxen in the Aleve and the Ibuprofen in the Advil carry the same types of possible risks and benefits. What you really have to decide on is which one works best for you and if your doctor says it is safe for you to use such a medication. However, you do generally need to take less of the Naproxen than you do of the Ibuprofen to get the same effects. Are there any other questions?

L368 Blue Oblong pill small no code or marking other than that. What is this? Please HElP identify!! ## This is a generic or store brand Aleve, Naproxen Sodium 200mgs. ## Then why do some of the pills out of the Naproxen Sodium 220 mg say G17 and some say L368? Looking at the pills before taking them, one said G17 while another said L368. What is the purpose of this? To confuse those who are already confused or just to make people feel stupid?? ## No, the reason for this is because there are many companies that make a generic medication and they each will have a different logo/marking according to the company that makes it. Over the counter drugs are not as regulated as prescription drugs, but if you read the regulations, you will find that even for prescription meds, the FDA requires t...

I take hydrocodone-apap (10-325) half dose for back muscle spasms. Too much acts as a stimulant and results in insomnia. I discovered that combined with Aleve (1 pill) that I obtained entire relief. Unfortunately, I am stomach sensitive to NSAIDs. Do you have any suggestions for an anti-inflammatory that is not stomach sensitive? Acetamedaphine (Motrin) does not work. Thanks. ## No, by their very nature, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications cause excess stomach acid, so all of them can cause stomach irritation. Have you discussed it with your doctor? Some people do well using a medication that helps reduce stomach acid, such a proton pump inhibitor, or straight antacid, when taking NSAIDs. And Motrin does not contain Acetaminophen, the active ingredient in Motrin is actually Ibupr...

I have recently found a tablet in my daughter's room. It is a small round tablet with an H on one side and a line on the other. Is there anyone able to shed some light as to what it is? ## probably just an aleve, or a tylenol ## We live in the UK so it's not either of the two suggested tablets that you mentioned, however, I really appreciate your response. Many thanks. ## Tracking down identifications for tablets from other countries is very difficult, since we are based in the U.S. Have you tried asking a pharmacist/chemist? I can't find any listings for anything with just an H marking on it.

I purchased the Generic of Aleve at CVS and it is labeled the same way. It is Naproxen sodium. ## Based on the description provided, I can confirm your pill to be Naproxen sodium (220 mg). Aleve is just another by product/trade name of Naproxen. I'm pretty sure the stores just package up any left over pills and in most cases they are the same exact pill with a different brand name. Naproxen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug commonly used for the reduction of moderate to severe pain, fever, inflammation and stiffness.
