Can I take Aleve and oxycodone 15 mgs together ## Hello, Tina! How are you? I didn't find any problems or interactions listed between these two medications, so that should be okay, as long as your doctor approves. In some people the nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory in Aleve may potentiate the action of the Oxycodone, so you may experience more potent side effects. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. The side effects for Aleve are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation. Is there anything else I can help with?

my husband took an aleve and a OMP 20 (pink and white capsule same as Prilosec) and almost immediately got extremely sleepy and felt drugged and I was wondering if that is dangerous for him to do this combination? ## Hello, Andrea! How is your husband doing? I didn't find any problems or interactions listed between these two medications, but its always best to double check such information to be sure. However, such medications are often prescribed together, to help prevent the stomach damage that an NSAID like Aleve may cause. Other side effects, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache and increased risk of bleeding. Is he on any other medications?

I am allergic to dyes and it is so difficult to find pm pain relief ## Hello, Vickie! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. The PM pain relief formulas only contain the relevant medication, such as Acetaminophen (Tylenol PM), Ibuprofen (Advil PM) or Naproxen (Aleve PM) accompanied with Diphenhydramine (Benadryl). Thus, if your doctor approves, you could most likely find dye free versions of both of them and just take them separately. I know that many Acetaminophen tablets are available as just white tablets with no dyes, plus Benadryl has a dye free formulation available specifically for people with such allergies. The FDA lists the typical side effects of these medications as possibly include dizziness, drowsiness, nausea and stomach irritation. Is there ...

After taking smz/tmp for five days, I had severe nausea and pain. I went to the emergency room and found out I had pancreatitis & had my gall bladder removed. Can this cause pancreatitis? ## Hello, Vicki! How are you? Yes, pancreatitis can be drug induced and this antibiotic has been known to cause it, as listed among the possible side effects provided by the FDA. Other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, diarrhea and non-allergic skin rash. I am not a doctor, so I can't definitively say that's what caused it, but it has happened. Are you on any other medications? ## No, I'm not on prescription meds, just aleve.

I am taking a naproxin sodium in the morning and at night but would like to have more relief during the day. Would Instaflex be the answer? ## Hello, Nettie! How are you? Instaflex is only classified by the FDA as being a nutritional supplement, so it isn't actually proven to help with anything. The manufacturer lists it as containing Glucosamine, MSM, White Willow Bark extract, ginger root, boswella, turmeric, cayenne and hyaluronic acid. It is also always best to check with your doctor, before taking any supplements, as they may be contraindicated with some medications or health conditions. This may help you, but there's no way to say for sure. Is there anything else I can help with?

My daughter found pills in a Baggie at my ex wife's they to her recalection were oblong blue with L205 ## Hello, Job! How are you? I'm sorry, but so far, I've not been able to find any with the a 205 on them. However, what I can tell you is that tablets with the L followed by 3 numbers that are blue and oval are over the counter products. Going by this description, if I had to make a guess, I'd take a stab at it being a store brand of Aleve, which is Naproxen Sodium that's used to treat pain, fever and swelling. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this NSAID as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation. I can't be sure, as I said, since I can't find a listing. I'll keep looking and post back, w...

Doctor has me taking nodolor for a cocusion can I take aleve for back pain ## Hello, Mitchell! How are you? Did you mean a concussion? You should check with your doctor, before adding Aleve, since the Nodolor contains Acetaminophen, along with Dichloralphenazone and Isometheptene. it is already intended to treat pain. Typical side effects to it may include nausea, dizziness, headache, drowsiness and stomach irritation, which are also virtually the same for the Aleve, which is an NSAID as listed by the FDA.

I have pelvic pain from a fibroid and was given relafen(nabutatone). Aleve isn't helping can I take my script too? ## Hi Keli, From what I can tell, there are no drug interactions listed online between Aleve (Naproxen) and Relafen (Nabumetone), so to the best of my knowledge I don't see why it wouldn't be ok to take the two together. However, this shouldn't be mistaken for medical advice as I am not a doctor. So if you do experience any side effects, god forbid, it may be best to seek medical attention to rule out the possibility of interactions vs normal side effects from either medication. I hope this helps!

I still have a headache and was going to take some aleve. Needed to know if there was any danger in taking them together ## Hello, Cornflake! How are you? A headache can be a side effect of the antibiotic and yes, there shouldn't be any problem taking the Aleve with it, but it's always best to double check this information to be sure. Other side effects to the antibiotic may include nausea, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. The Aleve may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation. Is there anything else I can help with?

it the same to take one pill of naproxen 500 mg twice a day or 2 pill of gelcap Aleve twice a day? ## Hello, Casandra! How are you? The typical over the counter Aleve in the U.S. contains 220mgs of Naproxen, per gelcap, so taking 2 of them would be 440mgs, thus the prescribed 500mgs is stronger. This is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory that's used to treat pain, fever and swelling. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## thanks a lot for your answer. The problem I was trying to avoid is the side effects of naxopren It upsets my stomach. I have taking zantacs today but it is not a good idea to get a benefit from a medication that gives you an stomach problem. Do you know any ot...

i took 4 Aleve 6 hours apart am i ok? ## Hello, John! How are you? Did you experience any adverse effects? Aleve contains the active ingredient Naproxen, which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory that's used to treat pain, fever and swelling and while these medications may seem innocuous, since they are available over the counter, they do carry some potential risks if they are misused. One of the biggest risks is liver damage or failure, which can be increased when you take too many that close together. It can also increase your risk of bleeding and of stomach ulceration. Thus, it is really best to never exceed the recommended dosing instructions, because you could also run into possibly fatal toxicity.

This may be a little long so please bear with me,.. About 6 months ago I started suffering from light headaches. They began later in the afternoon and continued for several months. I'd take Aleve or Motrin and they would subside and all would be okay. Fast forward to the last two months. They have been He** on earth for me. About 2 months ago, I had a series of panic attack in one day. I had just started a new job that I hate and is very stressful for me. I'm trying to change jobs and hope that helps. Anyway, the attacks have become more and more frequent and I have come to a place where I don't even want to leave the house. I have been to my Doctor 3 times and the ER once. I was diagnosed with GAD and Hypertension. My anxiety has gotten a lot worse. Even driving now sends m...

can you take these 2 medicines together? similasan cough and mucas relief and aleve ## Since the Similasan is a homeopathic remedy, it has not been tested for possible interactions with medications. Your doctor or pharmacist may know more. How much of the Aleve are you taking, is it an over the counter dosage or a prescribed dosage? The Aleve may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation.

i am trying to grt this peoduct. ## Hi Santos, Sorry but did you mean to say "Aleve"? I haven't been able to locate any information on a medication by the name of Alivia. Aleve however, is an OTC drug containing the active ingredient Naproxen. This is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory med commonly used for minor aches and pains (including arthritis). There's also a prescription medication called "Ralivia" (Tramadol) that's prescribed for more moderate to severe pain. Do either of these names sound like they could be a match?

I took 2 Aleve, then 3 - 4 hours later, 1Motrin. Should I be worried? ## Hello, Worrywort! How are you? Did you experience any adverse effects? This combination most likely won't do more than cause nausea and stomach pain, but it may be dangerous for some people with certain health conditions or who are on certain prescription medications. But they are both NSAIDs, so it's essentially doubling up on the same medication and should be avoided in the future.

I'm taking clonezapam (1 and a half) and 2 1/2 trazadone for sleep. Because I suffer from bursitis, I also take an Aleve. Will this harm my body? Thanks for your help ## Hello, Eileen! How are you? You shouldn't take the Trazodone with the Aleve, they increase the toxicity of each other, which could be dangerous. From what I can find, the only over the counter pain reliever you could take with it is Acetaminophen/Tylenol, so you may want to ask your doctor about taking it. Is there anything else I can help with?

Can nova methacin be taken with Atosal 30 or Aleve? ## Hello, Bob! How are you? The active ingredient in Nova-Methacin is Indomethacin, which is a very potent nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, so no it shouldn't be mixed with another, such as the Aleve. I'm sorry, but I can't find any information on the Atosal, so I don't know what's in it. Have you consulted your doctor? If the Nova-Methacin isn't handling your pain, you need to inform them and ask for a solution.

Grabbed for the Aleve Liquid gels & never paid attention to what color they were but there were 4 left & they were a red capsule. My boyfriend needed 1 for a bad haedache this morning but he later asked what I gave him & I told him what I had given him & he said either they are messing with his migraine medicine or they are not what they said they were. I cut it open & it was a cream colored powder. Any idea what this is? ## It also did NOT have any imprint on them. ## It's an over the counter product, so it isn't required to have an imprint. And it could be that he shouldn't take them with his migraine medication, they may be contraindicated. What does he take for his migraines? Knowing that would help me to research this and perhaps discover where the p...
