I have been using co aleva for about three years. I take only one tablet every 3 days for I found this dosage sufficient in controlling my recurring rhinitis. Are there foreseeable side effects in this practice in the long run? Thank you and God bless. ## Thank you for taking up my question. I live in the Philippines. As mentioned, the dosage (one tablet every 3 days) that I use for three years seems satisfactory to control my rhinitis. My only worry is whether it can have a side effect in the long term. Thanks and God bless. ## I know a person who took co aleva for a year and now he has the cushing's syndrome. His fault was he just bought it over the counter without consulting a doctor for its extended use. I'm also from the Philippines.

I quit taking ambien at night to go to sleep. I have been taking one regular aleve at bedtime to go to sleep for about three years. I have heard that can cause diverticulitis. Should I get off of that and if I need to what else could I take for sleeping. ## There are always medical conditions that could be caused, or contributed to, by any given medication, bother over the counter, and prescription, however, it is also important to remember that the risk is very small, they only occur in a very small percentage of people that take them. With the Naproxen in Aleve, you are more likely to experience nausea, dizziness, headache, blood thinning, and stomach irritation. Do you have a medical history of Diverticulitis?

My son is taking aleve, ibuprofen, sertraline and has tested positive for benzodiazepines. He just started on trazadone and is still testing positive for benzodiazepines. Do you know if any of these can be the cause? ## Sertraline causes false positives about 26% of the time. In some people (like me), the body metabolizes it in such a way that it creates a benzo type chemical. Aleve will also cause false positives. ## Can jet alert or red bull or Hydrocodone/acetaminophen cause a false positive on drug screen for benzos ## Ive been testing dirty for benzodiazepines. Ive been taking flomax percocets aleve benadryl nyquil ## there are many over the counter meds and prescription meds that will show false positive.if you know you haven't taken what you're being accused of then deman...

Why are some Aleve round and others oval? ## Hello, Jillann! How are you? Because the shape doesn't actually mean anything. That is entirely up to the whit and whim of the manufacturer. Aleve contains the active ingredient Naproxen Sodium, which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory that's used to treat pain, fever and swelling. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation. This medication may be contraindicated with some medical conditions and/or medications. Is there anything else I can help with? ## The round ones I believe last 8-12hours and the ovals I believe are 6-8 hours

Instaflex is actually classified as a supplement, not a medication, so no, it should not be a problem, as long as your doctor approves. I am in drug court and I came up positive for LSD on a drug screen. I haven't used LSD! I'm taking no prescription drugs whatsoever except over the counter Aleve on a daily basis. I do, however have chronic liver disease that is bad. I told the court and they are sending the urine in for confirmation testing. Will liver disease affect a drug test? Can it make me show up positive for LSD? Also, will the confirmation test safely confirm that I haven't taken it? I'm so upset because I know I haven't taken it! Please help!

I have a contact allergy and this is the medicine that works for me. Every time I stopped using taking this medicine, the rushes in my hands appeared. Just want to know what will happen if I take this medicine longer than my doctor's prescribed time frame? ## Co-Aleve contains the active ingredients Ebastine and Betamethasone, it is used to treat seasonal allergies, but since the Betamethasone is a steroid class medication, it can cause some serious complications if used for a very long period of time. You should speak to your doctor about finding something else that is safe for you to use long-term. How long of a course does your doctor usually prescribe? ## I had rashes and the ER doctor prescribed prednisone and cetirizine for 5 days...but my rashes didn't go away so I decide...

Is hydrocodone 10/325 and naproxen sodium 220 mg ok to take together? ## Hello, Kate! How are you? I'm sorry, to prevent spam posts, the site administrator/owner has set a limit on the number of characters that must be typed, in order to submit a post. And yes, they can be taken together, as long as your doctor approves. The U.S FDA warns that Hydrocodone is a narcotic analgesic, so it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I've been taking hydrocodone post knee surgery, but it wears off quickly. Can I supplement with Aleve in between doses?

I feel like I have nerve damage in my left hand/arm. The ligament is gone in my hand and my arm gets bad pain. I take Aleve. I have no Aleve left, so can I take this pain pill (L484)? How well does it work for pain? ## This tablet is listed by the FDA as containing 500mgs of Acetaminophen, it is a generic or store brand of Tylenol. I've had steroid inj's. with good results till now. Usually with bed rest I'm better in a few day but with this disk the pain had been so intense and the numbness on my foot is getting worse. Usually Aleve helps but now even the Tylenol 4 doesn't help and spasms on my leg have gotten worse. I don't want more surgery, 6 is enough. What else besides inj's. will help so that I can function again and continue taking care of my great grandson? ## There are quite a few other medication options, such as Morphine, Oxycontin, Norco, Opana, and Dialudid. Have you tried any of these, yet? The FDA warns that they carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. I was advised by a ER doctor to take Aleve for a serious jaw injury that left me in serious pain. After taking 2 pills a day for a little over a month ( again was recommended to me by the doctor ) I started developing bad headaches, I started getting very agitated and nervous for no reason and I started having really odd dreams. After being unable to get though to the doctor, I just had enough and stopped taking the pills. After a few days I started to see minor improvement. The headaches went from head splitting to very minor and the odd dreams went away BUT what alarmed me was that at times my heart would feel like it was pounding like a drum and over the past few days I started getting occasional hot flashes. My question is this..... is this just "withdrawal symptoms" of me s...

I have very painful tendinitis in my right wrist. I took 2 Aleve about 2 hours ago and I'm having a lot of pressure in my head. Could this be my blood pressure going up due to taking Aleve? I take Hyzaar for high blood pressure. Before I go to bed I want to take Hydrocodone with acitaminafin. Am I going to cause more problems for myself? I'm 79 years old but in pretty good shape. ## Hello, Joanne! How are you doing? Has there been any change? Usually, it takes more than just 2 of them to cause blood pressure elevations. According to the FDA is usually takes high doses being taken for a long period of time. However, there is no way to be sure how any given medication will affect any given person that takes it, so the only way to find out for sure is by checking your blood pressur...

I need to know whether I can take "aleve" and fentanyl together? ## Hello, Jane! How are you? I didn't find any problems, or interactions listed between these two medications, so that should be fine, as long as your doctor approves. The FDA classifies Fentanyl as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. If excedrin pm and aleve are combined, what happens ## It depends on the amount that is combined. Large amounts of it could cause severe organ damage and/or a fatal overdose. However, a normal dose will usually just result in upset stomach, headache, vomiting and stomach irritation. You may also get really drowsy and dizzy. In general, they really shouldn't be combined, because you are combining medications that all do the same things, so it isn't necessary. The Excedrin PM contains Acetaminophen and Diphenhydramine: and the Aleve contains Naproxen: Also, combining them regularly can result in organ damage, or stomach conditions such as ulcers and gastritis. Have you been combining them? ## I accidently took 2 advil pm's and then 1 hour leter took 2 aleves ## I got confused ...

A couple over the counter ones are Aleve and Advil. The FDA lists their typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and stomach irritation.
