Hi Patti & Others~ There is a pain clinic the doctor's name is Dr. Lababidi, don't see anyone else but Dr. Lababidi. Stay away from Dr. Fuad. He is a nightmare. He will basically laugh in your face. If you get Dr. Lababidi or Dr. Yang you will be okay. Doctor Fuad you will not be okay. The name of the pain clinic is Comprehensive Pain Clinic. They have about 14 offices all over the Akron Canton area. They are in Stow, Cuyahoga Falls, Cleveland, Kent, Canton, Medina, green. He has multiple offices. Dr. Lababidi and Dr. Yang are excellent doctors. But stay away from a Dr, Fuad..... There are other excellent doctors in this practice as well. Great nurse practitioners and doctor's assistant.

But again stay away from Dr, Fuad. When you try to make an appointment at Comprehensive Pain Management. They will try to stick you with Dr. Fuad. Just tell them you would rather see Dr. Lababidi or Dr.Yang or basically anyone but Dr, Fuad. Maybe in a nicer way. LOL .He's awful absolutely awful. And I speak from experience with this man. And so many other people have dealt with this horrible no bedside manner human being. And he doesn't like to prescribe any narcotics that' even are going to come close to helping you.

I know I keep mentioning Dr. Fuads name over and over. Because I'm just trying to warn you not to go to him. He doesn't care about you. He just doesn't. Now that I am done with my rant. Here is Comprehensive Pain Clinics phone number.
(330-208-2720) I hope you can find help at Comprehensive. I also have another name for all of you and a phone number. I promise I won't rant on about this one as bad as I did Fuad. LOL

Western Reserve Spine and Pain~ There is just one phone number that goes into several of their offices. This number here will go in to the Kent office. Which would be by the University of Kent State of Ohio.

They only have two doctors there. And several nurse practitioners, and Doctor's assistance.... She is fabulous. Dr. Maeda. I hope I'm spelling. Dr, Maeda's name right. I'm going to give you two numbers; For Dr. Maeda, I would call (330-665-5192) first / (1-800-941-6672).

Dr. Lababidi's office has a lot of pain doctors in all of their many offices. So you may have a better chance of getting in there before Dr. Maeda's office. But if you could hold out and wait to get into Dr. Mehta's office I would personally go that route. Dr,. Maeda.

This has taken me awhile to write. I wish all of you the best. And if you wouldn't mind I would so appreciate it if you could send back an update on who you did get into and how it's working out for you. I would so appreciate that. Only takes a second. Thank you very much and have a Blessed evening. Again good luck.

In 2017, no one should suffer any longer. The new laws stink. I have been in touch with Mr. Brown and several others. This has to stop. Mr. Brown and Mr, Portman seems to really want to help all of us pain patients. I don't know about you, but I'm tired of being classified an addict. Thank God I have a great doctor. And I do believe the pharmacist are almost as bad as the doctors. The way they look at you the way they look at the prescription it is just so self-degrading. This has to stop.

We will be protesting in September I hope so many will join us. I have rambled on enough. Again have an awesome weekend. And please give me an update. Wish you the best of health. I do have to say some pharmacist are definitely on a power high and that has to stop as well. As doctors are on a power high as well. This just has to stop. I just want to be treated as a human being in pain.

Hey Eljay,
Good luck finding a compassionate doctor today, I don't believe they exist. I can give you the name of my dr, you would definitely need a referral from your primary, it took me over a year to prove myself that I am a true chronic pain patient, I didn't care for him at first, but I had limited options and I go every 2 months, I am in and out, not waiting hours because they double book patients, I do believe that he could be of help, if you would like his name, let me no, he is located near St Elizabeth hospital in downtown Youngstown, if your interested let me no.

He is retired and only sees certain patients but he's a wonderful man & Dr

Tim, Where exactly do you live? Are you nearer to Boardman or Niles? Austinown? I also was seeing Ranieri @allied. I've been driving to Akron to a Clinic there & its not the best scenario thats for sure! There are doctors around here its just a matter of getting in with one. Do you have a Dr will refer you if you have a name? It sounds to me the closer to home for you the better especially if you're trying to take care of an elderly parent? Yikes!

JJ,

How're you doin? I can never figure out which "commenter" a reply such as yours, JJ, is meant for. I'm going to assume you're asking about the Dr I was seeing in Akron, Oh. Unfortunately, the clinic there closed suddenly after my March '14 appt. Since then I saw a PA at Mahoning Pain aka Tiffany Pain Management. The PA there was a nightmare. I went in to my first appt where I was handed a clean catch u/a cup as soon as I signed in. Alrighty. So I give my sample and an hour later I'm called back. The PA immediately told me the syndrome I have doesn't respond to narcotic pain killers. I hadn't even mentioned any narcotic pain killers or prescription. I hadn't had a chance to say anything because she was too busy assuming all I wanted was narcotics. She practically called me a drug addict to my face as she looked over my records! Yes, I'd been in the same dose of morphine ER for 12 years but hadn't had any for 2 months. I felt composed, had had a bath that morning and applied lip gloss. She wrote me a script for Neurontin, which I'd taken 2 years prior. It made me feel homicidal. Like enraged. It was crazy. I told her this but that I'd take one and see if anything had changed since then. She shoved me out the door, telling me to come back in 2 months for a recheck. At this point I was SO trying not to cry! I went to the desk and asked if I could please have an appt with a doctor which is what my referring dr wanted me to do. Dr only sees cancer patients with the PA taking care of his others. I made the recheck appt and returned 2 months later, took the u/a as before, which was clean btw.No matter. What a complete waste of time! What a complete shrew the PA! I wish I could be of more help. My advice is Google "pain specialist physician in your town, Oh or Pa". Also, go to website called healthgrade where you can do a search for specialty drs by filling in their "formula". You can get drs names and addresses with patient reviews on the site. Good luck! I'd avoid the female PA at Mahoning pain like the plague.

I have been through a lot of the same things you have, seeing the same doctors, when I first moved to this area I was seeing Dr Donatelli, I really, really liked him, then he moved to his own practice he was by himself, then he gets with those other doctors and the NP I wasn't going to pay $70 a month to see that wench for one script. Somehow I ended up with Allied and I got the same BS From the other dr about 80 mg of morphine. It is very sad that these doctors don't care about what people like us with real pain issues. I like you also was a model patient. My pcp told me today a chronic pain patient is considered a drug addict and must prove that they are not, so unfair. I talked to a guy about getting my records as well, I cannot remember if I have his contact info anymore but you can try the sheriffs and ask them where the records are, I think someone gave me that advice. I don't no what I would do if my dr I see now took me off my Meds, I cannot do any normal daily functions without my Meds and he cut me way down from my previous dosage, I wish I had the answers, but I think a dr needs to take each individual case by case and not generalize all of us as addicts, I am tired of defending myself

That Tiffany Pain Clinic is A nightmare. The one NP witch (Jennifer) is no longer at Tiffany. I have refused to go back. I prayed and ask GOD to take me off the 'fentanyl' without and WD, did a 'cold turkey' and GOD answered my prayers. When I told them at Tiffany what I had done, and I was never coming back because they had made me worse off than I was before I started coming to this place. They were shocked that I had taken myself off the meds without any WD symptoms. I told them they were the worst place I had ever seen and heard. Also told them the only half way decent person (NP) in Tiffany was Stephinia--glad that Jennifer was no longer there but they needed to get rid of everyone who worked at that front desk as well because they were/are the most nastiest and uncaring persons I have ever seen or come in contact with. I pray enough people will complain about Tiffany and they will change or be Shut Down.

I did their in patient treatment, they did not help me at all, not everyone is able to do a six week program, the nurse that evaluated me said I was dependent on drugs, well no kidding, it is the only thing that has worked my entire life, the problem with most doctors is they think they are God and love that control and ego, instead of having compassion, it is extremely frustrating to me

If i pass because i could not get my 4 pills a day for 14 years that took me from 0-quality of life to 10, never abused or got hooked, i will leave the names of all politicians who contributed to my s*** existence. nobody cares if we die. they want population control. you can get drugs illegally or just stoke out from pain, 8% of legitimate 60-80 year olds who were cut off committed suicide from a chronic pain clinic. let people live comfortably. anybody can od, legal or illegal, everybody knows their body. chronic pain destroys your life. i never increased in 15 years, i decreased. i will not take blood pressure bulls***. my blood pressure is 108/71 when i have my medication. stop worrying about anti depressants and treat legitimate people who are articulate and know their body, manage without fentanyl, or leaking pain pumps. i know a person who will kill herself, she has certain politicians on a letter & on her death shirt, poor woman, she works out with 3 pillls a day, now shes bedridden. thanks DEWINE, KASICH, & HUSTED, YOU are killing people, not saving them. you go an hour with severe pain, see how it feels. then you will change your tune, shots are s*** & do nothing but paralyze 4% - fusions limit motion, nerve oblation is a joke - illicit drugs, you politicians drive this 74 yr old to it. she is princeton educated. this is a communist country. worry about manson, pedaphiles and leave us to make our choices. has nobody figured the war on drugs is a waste. what cant you get?

Re: keikee (# 7) Expand Referenced Message

Hi,
I know of course this is an old post. But there is Comprehensive Pain Management they're all over the place. There is a Doctor Shah definitely stay away from him he's in the Akron Ohio area up by Summit Mall. He doesn't care about anyone he only cares about the money. He has 2 nurse practitioners one's a joke the other one's pretty good. There's also a few doctors in Kent Ohio. But check into Comprehensive they're all over the place. Good luck. You'll be in my prayers.

Hello! I'm in Akron Ohio. I gave Fibromyalgia & was on Vicodin for a yr... it was the best med ever. It kept my horrible pain level & I was able to function. My PCP of 28 yrs took me off if it 1 day & I detoxes for 3 days... I'm so upset... I'm trying to find a pain mgmt pays that doesn't think I'm an addict...
If anyone can help me I would love it...
Thank you...

Julie, That's a relatively tame dose of pain medication. Your pcp can and should refer you to a pain management specialist. Ask him to do that. I'm not a medical expert but from experience, I recommend one associated with a hospital based clinic. St Elizabeth has one. Good luck to you. Don't let your dr get away with leaving you to fend for yourself.

Wayne, The comment just before yours, number 128, says Comprehensive Pain Management has many offices around the northeast-ish Ohio area. He even gives phone numbers and names of a particular Dr to avoid. Do you have documentation of your allergic reaction to the injections? Has any Dr tried any type of sacral nerve block for you? I personally wouldn't let anyone stick a needle or wire or whatever into my sacral spine areas but I understand that does work for some. My pain isn't in my back specifically but don't think that didn't stop Drs from doing their injections, nerve block procedures. I hope you are able to find some relief for yourself! Good luck. Take care of yourself most importantly.
