What is the strongest OTC medication that will alleviate excruciating pain in my back and shoulders in a timely manner? Your quickest response to my message will be greatly appreciated! Happy and safe Holidays to ALL! ## The strongest medications available over the counter would be nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories, such as Advil and Aleve. The FDA lists their typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding, and stomach irritation. However, before taking anything, you should have this checked in order to figure what's causing the pain and what your doctor advises you to take for it. Are you on any prescription medications? Do you have any other medical conditions?

I called a coworker, who happens to be a nurse also, from my house (she was at her house) and asked her some questions about pain meds. My husbands had been misplaced during our move and he was having an awful time. He's diabetic, has heart issues, has neuropathy and a few other issues. I've overheard her telling others about meds she has at home if they needed them (not necessarily narcotics). I asked if she had anything or knew what he could take like 4 Advil then and hour later 4 Tylenol. I assumed because she knows I'm not a pill popper that she was aware I wasn't asking for narcotics. I have learned that she called HR on me and said I was asking for pain meds (in a way I was). I did ask for alternate methods that he could take due to his issues but not wanting her t...

I take one Advil PM almost every night to sleep. I also take an Aleve gel ievery morning for aches and pains, because I find that the Aleve Gel works better for my aches ## They really shouldn't be combined, since they both contain NSAIDs, the Ibuprofen in the Advil PM and the Naproxen in the Aleve. However, it really depends o how close together you are taking them. If they are being taken 8 to 10 hours apart, then there really shouldn't be any severe problems. Both of them can irritate your stomach, though, so you may experience some problems with that, but that would also result if you were just taking one of them and not 2 different ones. Are there any other comments or questions? ## So I took an alieve at like 7:30 and I want to take a Advil PM and its 8:30 is that a problem?

Can I take Advil p.m. If I'm taking Lisinopril I just started taking Lipinopril. I want to take Advil pm before bed ## Hello, Trish! How are you? What are your current blood pressure levels, after starting the Lisinopril? Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories can be contraindicated in some blood pressure and cardiac patients, because they can sometimes cause elevated blood pressure as a side effect, as well as fluid retention, according to the FDA. Are you on any other medications?

I had found some pills in boyfriends stuff from his parents, I had asked him what they are and he has had no idea either ..I was thinking it was Advil or something along those lines, Inside of pill is white and outside is pink with a black markings of N on one side 20 on other ## Hello, Caera! How are you? This tablet is manufactured by Teva Canada and they list it as containing 20mgs of Lisinopril. This medication is most commonly used to treat high blood pressure and certain cardiac conditions. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry cough and increased urination. Is there anything else I can help with?

red pill with a motorolla logo stamped on the front. i know its x but is it bomb or what? ## Yes, these are listed as containing Ecstasy (MDMA) and being very powerful ones, at that. These are very dangerous to use and should be properly disposed of. ## how powerful, whats in it? ## thx ppl ## round pills blue with white specks, G imprinted on one side and a naked lady on the other ## round orange pill with two Y's overlapping each other on the front. sealed off in two small waxpaper looking bags with kangaroos on the front and chinese lettering. in each bag was the orange pill and a smaller round neon green pill and a white pill, both with no logo. ## Found two pills in a purse given to me. They are both white round pills with a solid arrow on each side. Any idea what these might b...

I took a pre-employment hair drug test recently and was told a week later that I had failed the drug test because there were high levels of meth...The thing is, I've never done drugs (not even smoked pot, and not even one cigarette!), and I've never been around people who do smoke or do drugs! Plus, I don't take any medication, not even over-the-counter (no Advil, Tylenol, NyQuil, nothing!). I'm as square as square can be. I don't even drink! I'm in total shock. I was told that I would receive a letter in the mail if I want to contest, which I absolutely do. What could be the cause of meth showing up in my system, and how do I go about contesting the drug test? And are false-positives more common than I think? It's the only explanation here... ## Blood test !...

Does anybody know if it is okay to take Advil on an empty stomach? I was told that it does a number on it, and I just wasn't sure - As a side note, I don't really take Advil on a regular basis at all. ## It's technically OK at the recommended dose but you might experience discomfort. What becomes a problem is if you take too much advil or take it for a prolonged period. If you can, try to eat something like a banana with it to buffer your tummy.

should i take advil and flector patch together ## i am taking suboxone right now about 24 mgs a day.cani put flector pathes on with this medicine.is it safe to use suboxone and flector patches together, ## advil & flector patches together ? ## For anyone else seeking information…. The Advil and the Flector patch should not be mixed. They are both nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories, so it is unnecessary and is just doubling up on the same type of medication. There are risks associated with this medications, such as stomach ulceration and increased risk of bleeding, so it is dangerous to do so. You can learn more Advil details here and you can learn more Flector details here. and you can learn more Suboxone details here. As to the Suboxone and Flector, they can be used...

I found a whole bag of dark red/maroon gel capsules In my sons room. I opened one and it had some kind of oil in it as well as a soft dark red substance. I know it's not pharmaceutical. I also figure if it where vitamins they would be in the bottle not in a plastic bag. I'm trying to figure out if this is a steroid or other illegal drugs. I have noticed a few messages on here about people describing pretty much same pill found in their kids rooms. It's not round at the ends like say Advil liquid gels. It's actually more bullet shaped on both ends. Any help at all would be most appreciated. ## It actually resembles a kidney bean. ## Hello, Nikki! How are you? I'm sorry, but so far, I haven't been able to find anything that matches this description. I'm leaning...

How is your daughter? At her age, with that severe of a headache occurring regularly, you need to take her to a doctor and have this checked out. She may have something going on that requires medical treatment. How long do they usually last?

I have some IBuprofin. 800 and can u take 2 at a time for severe back pain ## Dear Redfire, I would not recommend taking more then one at a time. Taking one is like taking 4 Advil, so taking 2 is like taking 8 Advil. It could cause problems with you're stomach, not 2 mention dangerous effects. ## The maximum recommended dosage of Ibuprofen for adults is listed at 800mgs, to be taken four times daily. Given the increased risk of side effects, it probably would end up doing more harm than good if you were to take two of these. One thing I would suggest trying as a form of adjunctive therapy is essential oils. Many of them are really great at relieving sore muscles and aches. I find combinations like Lavender and Peppermint oil to have excellent anti-inflammatory effects as well. You c...

Are there less gi complications from using the patch than taking the pills? ## In one way or another the drug itself is going to have to metabolize, but I do believe a patch would present less GI discomfort for the sole reason that there are less binders and fillers than there would be in a tablet. It is my understanding that these so-called inactive ingredients are the root cause of many side effects. Not only that, but certain "inactive" ingredients that may or may not be present in each brand, are actually detrimental to how the drug is metabolized and used by your body. I think that's why so many people react differently to the same medication. The medication is the same, but the binders and fillers are different in each brand. I hope this helps to answer your question! ...

What is this green liquid gel cap with 10 200 written on it? ## Hello, Phil! How are you? I can't find an image to confirm, so I can't be completely sure, but this might be a store brand of Advil Cold & Sinus, which contains 200mgs of Ibuprofen and 10mgs of Phenylephrine, unless it's really old, then it may contain Pseudoephedrine. Does anyone else recognize this gelcap?

I found a little pink pill. One side has ROS 10 on it the other side has APO on it. What kind of pill is it? I want to know if my boyfriend is using drugs or if its simply an advil or something ## Hello, Catherine! How are you? This tablet actually contains 10mgs of Rosuvastatin, which is most commonly used to help lower cholesterol. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache and joint/muscle aches. Round, thick. Mauve colored pill with nothing on one side and a straight line scored in middle ## Hello, SteC! How are you? When it comes to a generic or store brand of over the counter Advil, there just aren't any pictures or listings of the details on all of them to refer to, because there are just far too many available and they aren't required to log their description and identifying details, as is required for prescription drugs. Learn more Advil details here. The best thing I can suggest is that if you aren't sure what it is, then don't take it, just throw it away. These OTC store brands are very cheap and you can easily pick up a new bottle from almost any retail store that carries patent medicines, so that way, you'd know for sure what you're taking. Is t...

I found a dark green, opaque football-shaped gel-filled capsule (which may have tiny gold-ish speckles.) It is about 3/8" long, approximately. There are no visible markings, though a cat may have swallowed and regurgitated it, erasing anything that was printed on. Any thoughts on what this could be? ## I'm sorry, but it's very difficult to say without having any markings on it and with just a guess at the speckles. The first thing that comes to mind is an Advil liquigel, since they are readily available over the counter. Learn more Advil details here. Another one that's kind of similar is Gas-X or its equivalent store brands/generics. Does anyone else have any ideas?

have a samon/pink oval pill with the letter N on one side and 3/0 on the back.. numbers are divided by the break line.... football shaped ruffly the size of an advil maybe little smaller ## Based on the description provided, the closest match I could find is a round peach pill engraved with "N" on one side and "25"' on the other side. This pill contains 25mgs of Quetiapine, used to treat symptoms of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Manufacturer: Teva Canada DIN (Drug Identification Number): 02284235 You can learn more about this drug on the page for Quetiapine Details If there's any chance that the marking was misread, this sounds to me like it could possibly be a viable match. Otherwise I would at least suspect that they could be manufactured by the same comp...
