Addiction To Oxy

Hi I have been on oxycodone since 2009 after a back op. I'm just at the end of my tether and don't no how to deal with life anymore!!! My doctors a joke and doesn't want to know! I just wanna know if I could stop slowly and deal with my back pain or stop suddenly and go thru the pain which I've never done!!! My body lets me know if my tablets late. In fact I need it before the 12 hours are up. Any advice would be cool.

A slow taper would be best, to help prevent the worst of the withdrawal symptoms. As listed by the U.S. FDA, they may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, rebound pain, anxiety and diarrhea.

What dosage do you currently take?

Hi, thanks for the reply. My script is 10 x 4 oxynorm but using more at min 20 ml couple of times a day at least 60 X 2 of OxyContin and am taking them on the 10 hour usually unless I throw 2 tens in me to make me last the 12 hrs. I'm tired all the time at the minute but what I'm also doing is smoking £10-20 of bud daily which I think increases the effects I get off the oxy? Maybe that's why enjoying it so much but life's just passing by it seems. I'm going for a chat with my headache of a doctor next week and was gonna ask to put my 10s up to 20s as I've been on 10 for a year nearly now and my body is used to that dose! Any advice I could put to my doc?
