Adderall Backorder (Page 36)

I take generic Adderall 20 mg for narcolepsy and there is not one local pharmacy that has it in stock. I have never had this problem before. The pharmacies are saying that it's on backorder from the manufacturer. Is anyone else having problems getting their scripts filled?

Hey. I'm sure someone has an agreement with the adderall 30mg, not working..I mean zip nothing..the only reason I would ask for the vyvanse would only be hopefully for just a few months, I do have insurance but vyvanse is a higher tier 4 which means my copay is $95, I understand that to some without insurance that's on the cheap side. But I take other meds to with higher copays..I have used vyvanse 70mg. And it doesn't kick in for about an hour, but when it does, it does a good 14 or so hours..the other one I was thinking about is the generic ritalin..but I have never had it so I have no info..now I could afford that one...today I decided to take 2 back to back to experiment? Still zip, I don't get it.. I know about another medschat group that talks about the 30mg not working.. they all feel the same way..however when I could not find my 20mg I had no choice to get them to see for my self..I also started a medschat thread, it's called 2019 adderall shortage nationwide. I believe that's the name lol..but someone posted with an explanation about what's up, it hard to explain what they. I will go back and check it out and get back with you.

Oh ok. I most definitely had these ones but only once. Its been a while back. I just assumed a little pharmacy by my house would have the Teva I was new to adderall at the time. I just remembered coming home and looking at them thinking what the heck...I was bummed at first sight..then I took one and I knew right at that point I don't like these. Then I had all kinds of strange feelings..at first I thought it was in my head because I didn't like the look of them at first. So a few days into them I just swore to I will never buy from them again..thx for the info I finally found my answer.

Good afternoon everyone, I have another medschat thread on this adderall shortage deal. What's up?? I read a reply back to me, they said: "house subcommittee report's from past year, where the drug manufacturers have reduced output by nearly 30%of certain ADHD drugs and 6 or 7 pain drugs. There has been a real slowdown in preparation for some new regulations which are to be determined sometime this year", (plus another comment back to me saying FDA it's because of the trump shutdown. The FDA itself was shutdown for over a month)...

ALSO I HAVE TRIED LAST NIGHT to get any info from Google looking at any governmental site I could find, for a list of drugs that are backordered or discontinued. And not one single page had it listed on backorder what so ever.. so maybe that's our answer... the FDA itself shutdown... but then again how come we cannot find adderall in pharmacies, but our pharmacies are filled with lots of different drugs.. I'd think if one is hard to get, why not others??

Yes I'm finding the same problem I live in Atlanta Georgia I was able to get half of my prescription of adderal 30 mg and told they don't know when I'll get the remainder but it is a nationwide or national shortage I guess we'll just have to wait won't we

Do you know if all the CVS carry the same generic ??, if so what kind did you get? I'm in Florida and my Walgreens has been on back order for months and I haven't been by cvs ever..I usually take 20mg. My doctor changed it to 30mg

Where in Florida? I live in Florida too and filled my prescription last month and again last week with no problems. I heard there was a shortage at some point, but that cleared up by mid February. You might want to try pharmacies in different counties in case yours has an issue with amphetamine seekers.

Apparently, drug shortages have become a huge problem. Two of mine have been on back order in the past two weeks. I thought it was probably the pharmacy's fault, but it appears it's a national problem.

I live in port Charlotte Florida..I usually use Walgreens because they have teva my scripts are for 20mg x day..I haven't been on them long many 8 months now. All of a sudden within 20miles around me has nothing..then I was just about to give up when I called a publix.they said they had 50 out of my 60 so I took it she said I'm very lucky to have gotten these..so I made an appointment with my doctor, I told him my story he changed my scripts to 30mg x one and a half..I feel like I need a higher dose but he is kinda weird probably iffy to put his pen to script pad like all the other doctors around here. Walgreens said they could only get 10mg or 30mg. So today I went to fill my script I thought it was time its been 30 days Walgreens said come back Tomorrow even though they filled it on the 12th, I picked it up on the 13th and that's the day they go by...so I jumped ACROSS the street to CVS thinking maybe they would fill it..nope, they had none..maybe it's a blessing in disguise I have no idea what cvs carries..so I will see what happens Tomorrow . Its crazy just thinking about how this opioid epidemic happens back in the day around me they had doctors offices then you'd walk next door they had a pharmacy to fill it right away..now I can't get my medicine but I day early.. Florida was the hot spot to get whatever you wanted..now you have to practically beg the doctor for help

Hi I just jumped on this site!!! It's like wow, what's up ya know...anyway it's definitely a very long list but I don't see my generic adderall 20mg listed, yet it seems at least 20ish miles around me has no 20mgs. So for the next month my doctor gave me 2 scripts for 30mgs..I get them tomorrow... But I have to say I think I liked the 20mg x 2 day / rather than 30mg 1 1/2, day..the 20 seems stronger. They are both Teva brand. I have never taken any other brand to compare... SO IF I CAN'T FIND IT ON THE LIST, I HAVE TO WONDER WHY I CAN'T FIND it...now maybe it's back in stock I would not know because I have this last script to fill until my next doctor visits.

FYI...I live about 25 miles northwest of Shreveport, LA and our local Walmart is experiencing a shortage as of today (March 20).

I was handed back my prescription and the pharmacist said "good luck in finding this as we've had it on backorder for a while now."

Luckily, in my case, the only other pharmacy in our small town of Vivian, LA had it available...but I remember VERY vividly the shortage of 2010-2012...that was a MISERBLE time. It was also before ObamaCare started, so I had to pay cash for my prescription. I was taking 30mg x2/day at the time and paid only about $15-$20 per month. When the shortage started I was given sticker shock when the price jumped to almost $100 a month for the same dose.

Today I take 20mg 2/day and that was what I was told was out of stock. I don't know about the other dosage pills, however.

Yes, generic Adderall is causing increased hunger in lots of people. There obviously aren't actual amphetamines in there, as amphetamine can only affect appetite by DECREASING it.

Really? I was told I couldn’t purchase half of my Rx adderall 20 mg 3x daily (so 45 20 mg IR) and then legally come for the rest (45 more) once they were stocked due to it being controlled? They told you that you could do that?

My doctor actually flushed them and then gave me a prescription for brand-name only because that company has been sued for non-equivalent to brand-name medications but they keep making them.

Same here - Duane Reade in NYC, never had problem there before (years)... and pharmacist really didn’t know when backorder will be resolved :( I believe she said this was specifically the 30mg

Looked at the list and they don't even have Adderall or the Salts on there, yet there is a countrywide shortage. No one can provide any information, every place I call is just pretty clueless about what is going on.

I live in southwest Florida, month ago my adderall 20mg was out of stock everywhere, so my doctor changed it to 30mg x one and a half. I took that for 4 months, now today I am due for my refill, they tell me it's out of stock, thank God I had an extra script for the 20mg,x2...I actually liked the 30mg better,..don't know why?. They are both from Walgreens, both from the same brand ..teva,..it's the only one I will except..once I decided to go elsewhere a mom an pop shop,.didn't even think to ask what brand, brought it home and couldn't believe it, I don't know the type, looked like a small white stop sign, ever since I have always went to Walgreens for the oval orange, either 20mg or 30mg..does anyone knows what causes this to happen?.. now I also take buprenorphine 8mg, I finally found the new Rhodes which was difficult, took them for 5 months or so..and boom back order,
