I have had two refills of Adderall 20 mg that was manufactured by Teva/barr (Teva) and it seems to have much less medication in each pill. Refills by another manufacturer work. This is ridiculous, and where do we report Teva and who can check each pill for amount for medication? I would gladly donate some of my worthless ones to the FDA?

The thing is, you do know Teva is the brand adderall now? They make a generic under Barr, but they bought Barr, shire was the original, they got bought out as for as adderall IR by another company, then teva bought them, so hold up on filing a complaint because they are brand name adderall IR.

I went to get my script filled today at a small pharmacy that I have been using the past few months after finding out they carried 30mg IR Sandoz which is very rare around my area. After speaking with the pharmacist he informed me that they may not be able to get me the Sandoz for my next months script, so I asked what other generics they carried and he said at the moment they only have CORE due to TEVA is having some kind of "manufacturing problem" with their generic Adderal and was not sure when it would be back. Once Teva and Barr merged their generic went down hill, Barr's IR adderal use to work great but now its just ok thats why I was so happy to locate some Sandoz. But I'm just hoping this does not become a huge mess like it was a few years back when you could not find any at all which meant calling multiple pharmacies.

Anyone have any issues with sandoz 30 MG. adderall? MY side effects are just some dizziness and mild headaches at end of day. They don't seem to work well at all in terms of being organized, clarity, and calm...

A few days ago I called CVS main office because for the past 3 months, the CVS in my town has been getting those junk round pink CorePharma pills. When I asked the girl who checked in my Rx to be filled, I asked her if they could get the Barr/TEVA Orange oval ones again. She basically said you get what we get, too bad. So I called the main office to verify what she said. They said that's absolutely wrong. They said that as long as the prescribing doctor specifies the manufacturer on the Rx, then CVS can order the pills from that manufacturer, no problem. So today, my doctor rewrote the Rx and when I took it to CVS, the pharmacist himself told me that they can't specify certain manufacturers when ordering the pills when they are C2 (controlled substance). I told the pharmacist that I spoke with CVS main office, and they said they could specify manufacturers even on controlled substances. The pharmacist then looked at me and said "well who you talked to was ONLY a secretary. They aren't pharmacists so they don't know what they're talking about." Needless to say, I was appalled that he would even say that in such a demeaning way (his tone and body language told me he meant it as such). The 2 pharmacy workers standing by him also acted uncomfortable after his statement. I have always liked this pharmacist, so his comment really surprised me and I'm guessing it's because I questioned his authority by calling main office.

So, my plan for tomorrow will be to call the main office again tomorrow and convey the answer I got from the pharmacist to them. We'll see what they suggest after that and how they feel about that "just secretaries" comment.

Not correct, teva acquired Actavis Generics Segment last year... now Actavis makes a horrible version of adderall (terrible just terrible) while Teva makes an okay 30 MG. I have no idea which product will become the drug sold...maybe both? Actavis tablets have a crescent moon and their 20 and 30 mg are the same size...Teva is a totally different looking medication (oval shaped, 20 is horrible and 30 is okay...).

Okay Activas (pardon spelling) has a 20 mg. and a 30 mg and both tablets (cresent moon #26 and #28, the latter # being the 30 mg.).
POINT: both the tablets for 20 and 30 MG. dosages are exactly the same size. That is NOT possible...You understand why I'm sure...How can identically sized pills be two different dosages...no adderral manufacturer in existence right now has a 20 and 30 MG pill that are the same size except for Actavis.

I've also used Adderall (30 mg tablets) for many years. The experience I've had is far different from yours. The one manufacturer whose product has seemed consistently weak through the years is CorePharma. The tablets have always been chalky to me and this latest prescription does not seem to have any effect. At the price of pharmaceuticals these days there should be no excuse for it. The Barr, Teva, and Actavis Adderall tablets have always seemed okay with me. They have always been at least somewhat bitter in taste which I have come to associate with chemical ingredients, as opposed to chalky in taste which I have associated with "filler" type ingredients. Reading all of these posts I'm beginning to wonder about locations in which the prescriptions are being filled and things like that. One thing I'm not wondering about is the corrupt business operations of the pharmaceutical industry. That's a given. After reading FDA complaints against CorePharma it's hard not to come to the conclusion that they are a company that would have no problem cutting corners and indulging in shoddy manufacturing practices (like perhaps shorting active ingredients) to save or make more money.

The new Teva/Barr orange oval 30mg instant release are not the same as previous years. I used them for 8 years without a single problem until this last year. I noticed the taste went from sweet to bitter and it had no effect. I wanted to sleep and die

Actavis owns Teva you say since when? Listen Actavis sells its own 30 and 20 mg adderall which are horrible... Teva has their respective adderrall (not the same). Anyway, i need more info on this merger.

I am having the same problem!! I have been on adderall for years and never had a problem. This last prescription I can't even tell that I have taken it. I am actually going to call my doctor and let the pharmacy know.

I put on here everything I read. Actavis owns Teva. Actavis merged with ARG (can't remember the name). The pharmacist told my mom one lot is only like a box which I don't think he has a clue. I've worked in factories and a box is never referred to as a lot. nevertheless he didn't give my mom the lot number and said if there were any recalls he'd know about it. Funny we all do; why aren't they being alerted to this? I think it's all about money.

First of all someone wrote that the company is now Actavis? That is not being accurately reported on the bottle which is fraud.
Are you sure about this? Every consumer has the right to return something he didn't request. I usually get Teva but in 30 MG, 20mg is a far cry.

I would suggest you all report to the FDA as I have. They will ask for the NDC #, the Lot# all of which you can get from the pharmacy. They will ask you to provide brand name.

BTW, if you use a private pharmacy or a major pharmacy call twice to obtain the expiration date. I had one pharmacy rep say expiration 2018 and another 2017.

That is why I asked the person who made comment about the new manufacturer not being Teva but Actavis.

Everyone knows the URL for the FDA submission of drugs right?

you should look up how Actavis who owns Teva merged w ARG. They're all out of Israel. When u read about just the business side of these pharmaceuticals, it's not hard to see where they could benefit from ripping us off. 41% of their business comes from the US.

Im not trying to be crappy...
But, you can't sit here talking about it should not be Legal to Legally make a Medication that is not equal to the origional counterpart ...
When you are acting as an Illegal Drug Dealer.
People die ..all the time...all the time ...from taking others Medications. This is how and why we have a Nation of Addicts and why many of us cannot fill our Prescriptions for Class C Medications without being treated like Drug Dealers.
