Adderall Manufactured By Teva Not Working (Page 33)

I have had two refills of Adderall 20 mg that was manufactured by Teva/barr (Teva) and it seems to have much less medication in each pill. Refills by another manufacturer work. This is ridiculous, and where do we report Teva and who can check each pill for amount for medication? I would gladly donate some of my worthless ones to the FDA?

What exactly are you experiencing with your Sandoz alpraz that you weren't before? I take Sandoz alpro and Teva adderall everyday and have been feeling absolutely bonkers lately. I've been to the doctor over 5x in the 2 months to try and figure out the problem. Reading this forum is the most relief I've gotten yet.

The biggest concern for me personally is the process by which a generic company “tests” their product for bioequivancy

They usually use less than 20 participants, and their test results are not made public, they are only provided to the FDA.

Moreover, the FDA must simply “take the word” of the generic company that their test methods were sound”. IE - good external and internal validity

My question is this: why not make the test results public to everyone not just the FDA…

Has anyone else noticed they are retaining water like crazy with the Teva brand? Been off of it for 5 days and I’ve lost 8 lbs... has to be water weight.

Anyone who has been on this brand of generic adderall and who has noticed that it has made them gain weight, I want to tell you about my experience with this. Teva (adderall) seems to be effecting my thyroid function. To the point that I was extremely hypothyroid. TSH was almost at .50. hypothyroid will cause rapid weight gain and fluid retention. You will feel a little "sick" in the mind. It is just an uneasy and unpleasant feeling.These manufacturers of the generics get their drug precursors from China. Heavy metals effects thyroid function. They suppress the thyroid. And...what exactly was China putting into (a bunch) of their products? Say it with me....Lead.

Yes. Yes. And Yes!!! Not only ineffective...it ALWAYS causes me to gain weight. Other generic brands do not have these side effects. I was given the Teva brand about 6-7yrs ago..and noticed the weight gain and ineffectiveness. I asked my pharmacist niece..she said that different manufacturers use different fillers and that is what’s causing the side effects. I cannot find a pharmacy locally that carries any other brand here locally. I am ready to give up.

The different milligrams must be different, because the 20 mg ones are just awful.

I haven’t taken them the last two days, I don’t want the side effects anymore.

Lately Teva 30 mg has the same effect on me as if I ate a piece of paper. I thought I was the only one until I found this forum. I can say it and half an hour later I'm laying around like the hound dog on The Beverly Hillbillies.

Hello! Although the name sounds alarming, ecstasydata.org is dedicated to testing substances of any kind for harm reduction purposes. They can tell you the exact mg of any substance in any pill and it’s actually run by the government. I think it’s $40 for testing a single pill.

I would not recommend Milan. I have been taking adderall for the last I’m not sure 8-10 years. I used to like teva but in the last year or so I do think that the potency has diminished and I have had extreme bloating and some weight gain. My pharmacy didn’t have teva this month and I decided I would get what they had which was Mylan. I had never heard of the brand and I’ve been only taking it for 6 days and I feel so miserable...it’s useless in my opinion!! I take 60mg a day (not instant) and I have been so gassy I almost s*** my pants, unable to focus to the point I’m so unmotivated & I feel like an extremely useless blob, and after I take it, it’s almost like I took a sleeping pill and feel immediately like I have to go to sleep and can’t speak or move. My husband is concerned about me. I’m sure every reaction is different for different people and bodies and whatnot but I would say don’t even fill your prescription if you’re going to end up with Mylan. I am going to look into contacting the FDA to report them-it’s that bad.

I just took a 20 mg round peach mylan with a 10 mg blue mylan...took them together instead of separate because I heard this brand sucks. I also drank alka seltzer one hr prior, so we shall see if it works.

Hi guys! I'm new here so please forgive the long post but I find all the details to be relevant and my medication is BUNK so here goes. I have extreme adult ADHD which is exasperated by a case of diagnosed PTSD from abuse. I also have LUPUS and RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS and RAYNAUDS DISEASE......OMG!!!!!. I thought I was going crazy. I thought something ELSE was wrong with me. I have been on 20 mg adderall IR 3 x per day and 10 mg dexedrine ER spansule 2 x per day (or similar long acting adhd med) for over 10 years now. I am a 40 year old woman. I was diagnosed adhd and "hyperactive" in the first grade and in the second grade was put on ritalin. I've been on stimulants my whole life. I've also been very ill for the past 10 years with autoimmune diseases. Ive JUST concluded, in the last year, that Teva brand generic adderall IR 20 mg has NOT been consistent. AT. ALL. I just went through my health and medication journal that I kept over the last year and there were so many entries that were like "my adderall IS NOT WORKING WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME. I was overcome with fatigue and depression and so so exhausted. Even taking a shower would cause me yo have to lie back down. Like gravity pulling me down down down until i was on the couch with my mind so foggy. I even thought maybe I had a brain tumor. This happened a few months in the winter of 2016/17 and also in the summer of 2017 and a few months over this last winter 2017/18.

I live in Louisville KY. I have ALWAYS filled my prescription at walgreens. They carry the teva generic. Well last month Walgreeens changed the policy for dispensing controlled substances. Instead of releasing refills for controlled substances every 28 days, now they will only refill them every 30 days. And this is nothing to do with any kind of FDA or government policy it is just WALGREENS policy!!!! So basically that gives people with conditions like severe adhd and chronic pain exactly ZERO days to get your prescription from the pharmacy before running out of medication! So... what if it's the weekend and you have to work during the hours that the pharmacy is open (until 6 pm) or what if you forget because you have severe adhd or what if you are in too much pain to make it there!!!! This is rediculous and I was so appalled that I decided to take my written adderall and dexedrine to my nearby CVS where I still have the two day window to pick up my life changing medication before running out and only realizing that I am out of my medication when it is time to take it, (which has happened to me several times and made my life hell on those days) so anyway I go to the friendly cvs and pickup my meds and the adderall looks and tastes different. Round peach chalky hard compressed tablets by..... MYLAN. I remembered that I had these before and they didn't seem to work. So what the hell I take my meds and..... NOTHING. fell asleep. Missed work. Slept through alarms that my adderall usually helps me to hop out of bed to. (My Dr suggested I set my alarms for 30-45 minutes before I have to actually be up and take my adderall which is right next to my bed and fall back asleep so that the alarm that actually have to be up to actually wakes me up- this is a great tip for people with ADHD who wake up with brain fog) I lost a job for being so late, so many times last month!!! No focus at all my house looks like a every room threw up on itself, my bills did not get paid, (I can't even FIND some of them) there is no food in the house and my lists and post it system is RUINED. Worst month ever.

Because I was so sick over the last year and nobody could figure out what was wrong with me..I kept a health and medication journal over the last year. So many entries had large chicken scratch entries to the effect of MY MEDICINE IS NOT WORKING WTF IS WRONG WITH ME. only the last few months over this last winter did it occur to me to start googling generic adderall not working and BAM ...SOOOO many people have been writing about this for YEARS. I got out my journal and compared entry dates to some blogs entry dates and they matched up. Last month the mylan brand of adderall undid so much of my recent progress, therapy, work, and basically I became undone. It was like I didn't care at all about the bills getting paid, losing my job, cleaning my home, etc. Well fast forward to this month after hours days weeks of research, I called around to find the teva brand. Had to drive out of the way to get them, but it was worth it. The 20 mg instant adderall teva brand generic at right aid at Gardiner lane actually works for me right now. It totally could be because I just took sugar pills for a month or, it could be that this batch could actually be effective. What the hell is going on people this insane. And nobody will listen to us. What should we do?

In February I started on Adderall 10mg 2x a day and it was Aurobindo. It was PERFECT. A month later, I refilled with TEVA and went into a week of withdrawals, it was like there was no real medication in the bottle. So my doctor put me on 20mg XR for a month and it was Sandoz, and it was perfect but insurance didn’t cover it.

Doctor put me back on 10mg 2x a day and all my CVS had was TEVA, so I wouldn’t fill the script. I tried to take it to my grocery pharmacy, and they had aurobindo, but long story short, I was treated like I was seeking drugs, and he refused to fill the script.

Luckily enough, my CVS found a bottle of aurobindo, and managed to fill my script. But I’m happy to see that I’m not crazy, and that TEVA hasn’t been working well for others either.

Sandoz have become discontinued across the border. It's f****n sad. It's the only brand that helps me. The number for Sandoz is 609-627-8500. I called myself - good luck guys. Dont take the trash that makes u sick, cause i'm surely not! Check out sun pharma, it may be ok....My son takes that one in 7.5 with no problems that I know of! Check out the fda and everyone start flooding their website so that we can make a change!
