Activas Temazepam 30mg Vs Others

I recently changed pharmacy's. I usually take the yellow Mylan 30mg Temazepam dose which works fine. The new pharmacy's generic is from Activas. A white capsule with a logo (R with a line through it) and 077 imprinted on it. I do not get the same effect of what I am used to vs the yellow 30mg capsules. has anyone had the same issue? I also seem to have a slight withdrawal during the next day. Has anyone else switched Mfg?

Although I don't have any personal experience with this medication, I am aware that the major differences in peoples reaction to the drug are largely due to different body chemistry and different inactive ingredients in each brand/generic.

Furthermore, the FDA permits generic formulas to vary by as much as 20% from the active ingredients in brand formulas. 20% is extremely sloppy in my opinion and could very well be the primary reason why you're not feeling the same effects.

I'm thinking that you could probably mention this to your doctor with a valid case, in that, a generic medication is almost like taking something completely different altogether. Perhaps he/she can write something on your script to make sure you receive a better brand in the future.

My dad is having a similar problem, he was taking the green and white 30 mg temazepam and Publix just switched mfg so he is now taking a yellow 30 mg and it is NOT keeping him asleep all night! I'm going to call and ask about the old pills, don't know if I can??

I live in the state of Alabama. Not sure if its state wide. The same thing happened to me. The Mylan 5050 were working great for years. The pharmacies changed to Activis. I've called several pharmacies and they keep telling me they are on back order. I also feel like this new one is a different pill. I can't sleep. I feel awful for the first half if the day. I mentioned it to my doctor and she said maybe I built up a tolerance. I told her from one manufacturer to the other ?? I told her it's the manufacturer!! She just looked at me with a blank face. Useless!!

I have white oval capsules, no branding at all, 20mg, they get me off to sleep but don't keep me asleep.

You are correct. Tamazepam caps 30 mg Novel does not work. It used to, but no longer does. I stopped taking them . They are either placebos or dumbed down so much that they are useless.

The yellow 30mg is made by Mylan. They are the Only ones that work for me. No white ones. Mylan hasn't mfg these since Dec. 2018 & have no release date listed!!

I have had the same problem in NC. Last Mylan 30mg yellow caps I was able to find was December 2018. Mylan says they are on back order & won't give a release date. I feel they have stopped making them period. I have tried everywhere in my area & keep checking the drug shortage list & it gives same info every time. I just don't think they are making it at all since end of 2018. The white ones from the other mfg doesn't work nearly as well..
