David Says:

The prescribing label for this medication does not specify whether or not it can be used in children. It clearly indicates that these "tablets are supplied for oral administration in adults". And because it does not mention it's use in children, I personally don't think it should be used in any way on them. Every drug can effect people differently, so in order to find out for certain, you'd have to contact your child's doctor. I would think that that there should be some other alternative medicine your child can take if in fact it's not this one.

Listed below is a link to the official prescribing label:
http://www.cipladoc.com/therapeutic/pdf_cipla/voltanec_pr.pdf

I hope this information helps!

Nowadays pediatricians are using alot of suspension of aceclofenac and paracetamol. But no studies have been made for the therapeutics and efficiency of toxicology studies for suspension form. So their is a great scope for researchers in this field

MOORTHY Says:

Generally, combination of drugs should be avoided for children, especially between 2 to 5 years, more particularly drugs which affect the GI tract and aceclo does a lot of harm, even to adults. So, aceclofenac syrup should be avoided in children. To reduce the fever, use paracetamol in smaller doses, as higher dose of para causes liver damage. If your child has high fever, you can use wet cloth over its fore head, chest and back and administer para syrup as per doctors advice. Most important is that do not self medicate your child. Always consult your doctor and never buy over the counter of your own.
