@ #20: Amox/Augmentin in suspension form DOES have to be refrigerated. So before you start thinking you know it all and make fun of others it would be great to check the facts.

I took one this morning - noticed some itching but didn't think anything of it. Then took second round this evening, after which I began serious itching - prickly itching like I'd gotten into a chigger patch. I am taking this for sinus infection/bacteria. I called the doc and he said stop and take Benadryl. I will have to get a script for something else.

well all i can tell the doc is congrats on prescribing me this pill....i mean seriously, this pill versus my swollen throat was terible.....once i threw up because i was choking on a pill half.....and as for the diarrhea....its been about 15 days and im still not regular....

I am taking it for an ear infection w/Eustachain tube dysfunction. It was prescribed by and Ear,Nose, Throat MD. It is a great combo, my kids were on it. Try to avoid second had cigarette smoke.

#28 If you start having stomach trouble with any antibiotic, be sure to take a probiotic such as achidophilius (sp). My daughter didn't do this when she started having diareaha once and ended up having a C-Dif problem in her intestines!

I had a myringotomy on Tueday. Ear drum of 8/10 th full. PC gave me desloadine (Claranex). ENT said that is the worst thing to do. My left eye was swollen shut before I went and got the fluid drained out. I my have hearing damage. Always get second openion and see a specialist.

Im taking this med due to a cat scratch.. First day, now issues..2nd day I had a growling in my stomach that was and is unreal and stool was pure water & I went to bathroom atleast 12 times. On my 3rd day now and people can here my stomach and it's 09:30 & I've went to the bathroom 3 times & it's still pure water & horrible LOUD gas! I guess it's going to cure my cat scratch and be used as a diet pill as well?

I have a Straph infection and doctor prescribed this medicine. After taking 4 pills(2/day) I am not feeling any impact of this pill--meaning, I am not getting better. Should I wait longer or call my doctor right away?

I taking Amox TR-K CLV the liquid version..I highly recommend to all those out there trying to swallow those horse pills to try the liquid kind. my doctor asked me what I preferred and since my throat was pretty much swollen shut from step she recommended the liquid. It's not bad at all, taste like air with a touch of weird citrus, much better than a horse pill. As for the side effects, about the same. stomach growling and watery stool..aka big surprise! only on my third day, we'll see how the nest week pans out!

I was prescribed this med after my dog and I were attacked by another dog, and we both were bitten. I went back for a follow up, and another doctor told me to stop taking it unless I fear there is an infection in the wound. He was worried about diarrhea, a known side effect. He said if I do choose to finish the 7-day regimen, eat some yogurt (not at the same time, couple hours later) to replenish the good bacteria in your system that the Amox was killing off. After the fourth pill (over 48 hours), my stomach does feel a little queasy now. Hope the yogurt I ate an hour ago helps settle it.

Within 12 hours had loose stools and after 24 hours had constant diarrhea that would last for 4-6 hours after taking a tablet. After 3 days stopped taking the medication as the bug was causing less damage than the remedy.
