Lisa Says:Do you mean the drug Aldactone?
Aldactone is a potassium-sparing diuretic used to treat congestive heart failure or high blood pressure. It may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.

VerFree Says:What Lisa posted is correct, it contains the active ingredient Spironolactone. This is the only diuretic that works safely for me, I have a bottle in the cupboard, because it is my rescue medication, in case I experience fluid retention, again. It can cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, frequent urination, hypotension, and dehydration.
Has this been prescribed for you?
