A Pain Doctor In Pensacola Fl

Updated

Yes I'm looking for a doctor to please help me cause I feel like I have been treated like an addict and I have pinched nerves in my back, my leg is numb from the knee down, along with the horrible pain. I'm not asking for a major pain med, just something to make it to where I'm not being such an ass to my wife and kids. I live in the Pensacola, Fl area if you have any info that can help. Thank you.

A neurologist may give you Vicodin or Percocet. Make sure you talk to your primary Dr. Get the referral to a neurologist,

@Tim,

Have you tried any alternative methods of healing for your pain? I've tried acupuncture for a painful nerve in my foot before and it really helped. Chiropractic manipulation, essential oils, massage therapy, light physical exercise (yoga), and eating more plant-based/ anti inflammatory foods etc.. might also be beneficial.

I usually suggest taking advantage of those options before relying on prescription narcotics or other pain meds; mainly because things like yoga and natural alternatives can be done throughout your life without necessarily being dependent on your doctor.

Nonetheless, I have listed below a couple websites specific to locating pain management doctors in a given area. All you have to do is input your city or zip code for narrowed results:

You can give this other page a try too if you come up with different results for some reason or another:
wellness.com/find/pain%20management%20specialist

Many of the results you find (in one or both of the links above) also list a phone number for that specific doctor; I'd consider calling up a number of them to see if they are accepting new patients; some aren't, but most usually are.

I hope the suggestions help! Good luck with finding the right doctor.

I live in Pensacola and my Doctor retired this past December and his last name started with a B and I'm in the same sinking ship. This doctor from what I was told had a few thousand patients and so now you have a lot of those patients trying to find a good compassionate doctor. I have no issues going to pain management but the doctors I have been to hasn't given me a referral. My insurance doesn't require a referral to a specialist but the pain management places want a referral! Does anyone know of any pain management doctors that don't require a referral? There is a clinic in Milton on hwy 90 that provides pain management. Don't know the name of it but do a Google search and see what you come up with

I was forced to seek a new pain management doctor and the first thing he did was cut of the pain meds that I have been taking for over 13 years. He cut off my Oxycontin 40mg and my Hydromorphone 4mg, replaced them with Oxycodone/Acetaminophen 7.5-325mg. That is like nothing for my body. Also the new doctor has a problem with THC in my system. I do have an Rx for Marinol 5mg from southern cancer center. I am in need of medical help to control my pain. I had stage 3b lung cancer and lots of nerve damage has been done. Can any doctors treat me with THC in my body? I have BC/BS insurance.
